Compared to Brer Rabbit, Plantation molasses here is higher in calcium but also stronger in flavor. Some peopple like it for the health benefits although be aware it has 11 grams of sugar with 8 grams of that being added sugars (equivalent to about 2 teaspoons cane sugar) and people worldwide benefit from consuming 5-6 USA sized teaspoons a day or less. Brer Rabbit is the one to opt for if you want a milder molasses taste for sweetening most foods and beverages and are not concerned about the significantly less calcium

The only thing wrong was the jar in pieces. The product is super but the shipping was the problem. don't order anything in glass jars ,one of the 2 jars was broken and molasses was leaking out of the box

My chiropractor recommended me taking black strap molasses. Great way to build up my iron level! It doesn't taste too bad either! It's not recommended for infants, diabetics, if you have IBS or sensitivities to sulfite.

Both bottles had loose caps and were leaking. One bottle had a chipped rim. Sticky mess!

Molasses works beautifully

Heard blackstrap molasses is good for low iron. A spoonful a day keeps the doctor away, or so they say. Might be worth a shot if you're feeling run down. It's tasty in oatmeal too, just sayin'. Definitely better than taking pills.

Great product

I use this in my garden especially for trees stressed from heat and smoke from a fire two seasons ago that was causing my purple chokecherry to snap off branches for weeks starting in spring. I used this in a water solution and my tree finally stopped snapping branches. It must be unsulphured and black strap to work which this and even better is it’s organic. It doesn’t attract insects.
