Best thing ever. I sang to my babies. With the Owl I sang and played a song 🎶. Then eventually all you have to do is start the music 🎼, a maybe a couple words. They’re out in no time. They fall asleep in no time. You can even hang it on bassinet or crib. It’s the perfect size. Exactly how I envisioned it working. The quality is great. When they can reach and grab it functions like a play toy.

Bought this as a gift for a newborn. Have the original version at my house which plays fewer sounds. Hells grandchildren settle at bedtime! This one plays 12 sounds, and would serve as a portable for adults who travel. Timer up to 60 minutes.

I have no babies but maintain a “baby box” of things when visitors come with babies. Our house is not child proof so I set up one room to be kid safe. This is a clever soothing music box with a hanging strap. Like most under 3 toys, you need a Phillips head screw driver to undo the battery case (batteries not included). This takes 3 AAAs.The 12 sounds vary from lullaby, running water, Moon River and assorted other selections. They sound a bit tinny like most electronic music. The volume control goes quite low to not very loud. The strap is convenient for attaching to baby carrier or shopping cart. It’s pretty sturdy with no moving parts. This is not also a nightlight, it’s just a music box. Would make a cute shower gift.

My granddaughter loves this, she can’t sleep without it, perfect gift for new babies

Not only does this one have a distracting logo on the front it only lasted 2 weeks before it quit working. I also came across the same owl at target for cheaper. So I guess I'll buy that one to replace this one.
