Are these natural fur or synthetic?

As I recall, they are real rabbit fur and the tail and ears are leather. They may be dyed, though and I don't recall what the eyes are made out of. I don't like synthetic toys either and I was happy with these (and so was my cat)

Do they have a rattle that cats can hear from the next room?

They have a little bit of a rattle, but not sure about then hearing it from another room. My cat loves them!
