Even though this is expensive I believe this item is a must have for the Gozney oven. Will bring the oven up to pizza making temperature in 30 minutes and will aid in keeping wind from blowing out the flame when it is on a low setting.Designed with heavy thick SS that won't warp and a well designed silicone handle cover that keeps your hand from getting burned.Now that I have it I wouldn't be without it!!

This is a must have for a Gozney dome. Blocks wind and saves on propane. With this in place I can maintain higher temps with less propane. Not to mention the dome heats up faster and maintains heat better between pies.

Works well, almost too well. I was able to hit 1000 degrees in my dome unintentionally on medium using natural gas. I burned the bottom of my pizza so now I know I can cut my times down. Helps reduce fuel usage significantly and will easily pay for itself after a number of cooks

I love the Gozney Dome oven but this item for me is a must have.Gives me total control of the temperature inside especially when cooking pizzas.The handle stays coolAnd I can adjust how much of the oven opening I can block depending on the thickness and size of the pizza.Regardless of temperature set by the oven I can modify how fast the pizza inside cooks. Something you must do to accommodate different pizza thicknesses. Otherwise thick pizzas can come out partially uncooked and thin ones overdone.At parties I let people design/prepare their own pizzas while I'm the one baking them in the Gozney Dome. With this I can handle any size / type of pizza by varying how much I do or don't block the oven opening.This is one of the most important accessories to insure my pizzas come out perfect everytime.

Helps the oven heat up a little faster when using propane. Between pizzas I turn down the flame and use this to help keep the pizza stone at temp and not waste heat/propane with a large flame and open oven.The silicone handle leaves a little to be desired. Definitely don’t want to hold onto it very long when its been in use. The handle gets very hot. The silicone is just enough fir me to grab and place on the ground before my hands will burn. The hole in the handle also leave space for your fingers to touch the hot metal. I’d rather have a thicker silicone handle without the hole.Between cooks I usually store the baffle inside the oven after the oven has cooled off. Between pizzas I’ll set the baffle on the ground under the Dome stand so guests or I don’t accidentally touch the hot metal.

My husband thinks this is one of the best purchases he has made. It makes such a huge difference when heating up the pizza oven.

Was hesitant at first but worth every penny. Quick heat up and recover time between pizza.

Works great, and is essential to have when owning this oven. I was hesitant to buy this at first, because of the price, however its a "must have". Long term, you will save on fuel, and decrease your fuel changes.. Really practical!
