Simply outstanding speaker set
I wanted to get a reasonably good set of speakers without breaking the bank ( too badly ).Looked at many reviews for this set and decided to give them a shot. They are stylish but more important, they far exceeded my expectation.I have a very large living room and really expected i would have to go with large speakers to get good sound in this space. But i didnt want the bulk of large speakers.I went with this set because of respected reviewers saying they were surprised by the quality of the sound produced from them.I was not disappointed. With my new yamaha AV rec i felt like i was at the theater. In fact i liked them so much i bought 2 more for rear surround to go from 5.1.2 to 7.1.2 setup.I cannot give enough praise to the quality and performance of this set for a compact speaker system.Im sure a large set will perform better but considering i didnt want the clutter of large speakers, these do the job just fine.Highly recommended. One note - be wary of atmos speakers in this small package as they are not all that powerful to fill a large space. I had to crank up the db level a bit to get good effect in my space, but it works.

Great sound but why so ugly Focal?
Kind of a Focal fanboy but wow are these things hideous. Its Focal so the sound is generally always going to impress and Focal does have some average looking gear on their low end speakers but these things. Yikes I see myself always having aome Focal speakers in my house but not these eyesores.

Excellent
The system works well in a smaller room (10ft x 18ft). I use Focal monitors in my studio space so I'm familiar with the company's quality. I was originally looking at a Samsung soundbar but opted for separate speakers and a receiver instead. I'm not disappointed with this decision even though it cost more. The sound is excellent. I read a couple reviews on the Internet saying that the wiring clips were a pain to use but I had no problems with wiring. It looks like they modified the Atmos speaker wiring clips to make the setup a little easier. Keep in mind that the kit only includes two wall mounts, so if you need to wall mount the center speaker you will need to buy a third Focal wall mount to mount the speaker vertically or build/buy a small shelf to mount the speaker horizontally. You cannot use the wall mount to mount a speaker horizontally.

Better than expected by far.
I use it with Marantz nr1711 and cables (critical part): Supra Classic 2.5 for surrounds and atmos channels and Supra Ply shielded for fronts and center, and Supra sublink for sub. I am surprised how good it is. I hesitated between a soundbar for my living room for my 55” lg oled tv. I tried Monoprice Atmos sb300 ($118 on sale)a and Sennheither Ambeo max ($1699 on sale). The former is more consistent, and the latter is just a “show off” to me, very ugly and inconsistent, while costed to me 17 times more to me. The sb300 has a virtual processing, while Ambeo makes uses of sound bouncing from the walls and ceiling, and it is really bad especially for my room with slanted ceiling and slope =0.34 and with one wall all widows and the other with 3 entries to stairways and kitchen. It does atmos, but badly. None of 3 can produce a stunning sound effect of ice subsequently cracking around me in a chair in the opening chapter of No time to die, when a little girl runs onto a frozen lake. My other 9.1.4 system makes it stunningly - the best sound effect I ever heard. In general, any soundbar is joke relative to Sib Evo, which is capable to do a large and loud and extremely accurate sound scene in 5.1 format, like shooting scenes in the aforementioned movie. Soundbars are really bad in this.Music with the above cabling is just amazing too with really good bass from sub in Stereo at cd quality. I use Nucleus for Roon via Ethernet cables and the stream is always downconverted to 44.1 kHz and 16 bits even if the sourse of a higher resolution.
