Can it be used as a daily monitor?
Great for gaming: YesCan it be used for day to day: YesPros:- Gorgeous colors- Fast response time- Multiple HDMI ports (4) + 1 DP- Best gaming monitor I have ever owned- Looks nice, the hex lights on the back are a nice effect. I thought I would turn it off but ended up enjoying it.- Easy to use- it is super easy to switch between sources with the remote. You can skip the remote but chances are the monitor will be a little far to reach.- Stable, I was a little worried about it sitting on my desk but it was well balanced and did not tip or even budge using the stand only.- Remote is focused and very usefulCons:- Weight and size can make it difficult to place where it needs to be. It does not work well at the usual distance and you will need a stable, sturdy desk to place it.Review:This monitor is great for gaming, after using it I won’t go back to LCD monitors for gaming, ever. The question I had when considering to buy was: Could it be used as a daily monitor, for work and life.To test this out I used it daily as my main monitor. I work as a software developer.I found using it was similar to using a regular size 4k monitor in some ways. I had thought I could scale the size less on the screen to fit more, and I was able to do this a bit but eventually settled on 150% scaling as what was most comfortable for my eyes.I did find I needed to set the monitor back a ways for comfortable viewing so you might want to consider the size of your space and if you can accommodate a monitor 42 inches wide and 24 inches high. This made the remote suddenly seem like a stroke of genius. It is simple with buttons you will use and it sits well on the desk. I found myself using it frequentlyAfter fiddling with placement and even mounting it on a Ergotron HX arm I ended up preferring it on it stand. (The Ergotron easily handled the monitor if you really want it on an arm)The first day I kind of was going through double monitor withdrawal but quickly got used to the large monitor. After a couple weeks working on the monitor I found I really liked using it. It was fine for productivity and all round but it is much stronger for entertainment purposes.I had read about aggressive dimming on the OLED TVs but did not find it an issue on this monitor. It would dim if I sat staring at the screen for a while but clicking around usually brightened it right back up. There were a few times it was bothersome but not overly so.I actually felt it gave me less eye strain than my old dual monitors and I quickly began to appreciate not needing look back and forth across a gap. After a couple weeks LCD screens started looking washed out to me since I had gotten used to the rich colors of OLED.The anti glare on the screen works better than my ultra wide LG Monitor and it did not make the screen less clear or sharp. I suppose the high gloss surface of the TVs do have that nice “wet” look but I came to appreciate the anti glare for an OLED monitor.I do feel it is just a bit on the large size as a monitor and I found myself often centering things in the screen and maximizing some apps less. The aspect ratio is like a regular 4k monitor but at this size some stuff in the corners and edges were harder to read. Not an issue for entertainment purposes but more so for daily use.In the end I feel I could live with it as my daily monitor however I did go back to my ultra wide because of the increased horizontal space and the slight curve that makes outer edges more usable. I still work on this monitor when the mood strikes, it is my primary for web surfing, watching videos and of course gaming.I did use it for a few weeks and could have stayed with it as a developer/gamer. My move back to my ultra wide for work has less to do with this monitor and more with the additional features of the ultra wide. In the fussy, multiple apps/windows way I work the large monitor set back to a comfortable way just did not give me more desk space I feel I needed.

Best Monitor I've ever used. by far. 11/10
First off. this thing is the size of a TV, but its a monitor. which for me, is already great. I play my PC, with a wireless keyboard, and wireless mouse, on a side table, from my recliner. if you arnt doing things this way, you should. its amazing. I got Martin Logans on each side of the monitor, powered by some good monoblocks. The monitor itself is up on an old glass, and metal TV stand. The color on this thing, is AMAZING. I don't care what you are doing with your monitor. it can be old NES emulation, brand new games, movies, text editing, art, whatever it is, it will look great. that said, this monitor is at its best, with lots of stuff going on. so, gaming, of some sort, or movies. The screen dimming is noticable, when doing things like text, art, or using an SDK, with fixed menus. it's not a deal breaker for me, but, this monitor isnt for drawing art, or doing text, and stuff like that, It will still make whatever you do, look incredable, but, with the screen filled with mostly non changing immages, causing the auto dim to trigger, I could see it getting annoying for professional artists, professional programmers, and so on, that said, this thing is REALLY bright at pretty much any setting, and, lets be honest, if you are a professional artist, your not going to buy a screen geared towards gaming anyways, and if you a profssional programmer, you are probably going to go for something like a curved ultrawide display. so, for what this thing is, its by far, the best ive ever seen. had it a while now, with no issues what so ever. I did end up running it at 1080P instead of its native 4K res because my eyes arnt what they used to be, and all that. this thing looks plenty beautiful at 1080 though, so, I've no complaints. on that front. The remote works well. The conectivity is good. The colors are amazing. The refresh rate is nice.ect etc etc.its kind of niche, and probably not the best choice to slap on a desk right in front of your face, but, if you are using it how I am, I cant immagine any way to make it better than it already is.Perfect product. 11/10

Overpriced and Defective
I purchased this for $1200 on sale and it’s not even worth anywhere near that due to poor quality picture and defects. To start out with the biggest deal breaker of this monitor is it’s only 135 nits brightness, so those darker or even the bright games you are forced to increase brightness 100% and since it’s a Matt finish panel it makes the colors and especially blacks very washed out and ugly.My monitor was defective and also arrived two days late. Randomly some audio would cut out, like you can still here the music or background noise in the scene of a movie or video game but the voices were mute, this kept happening randomly and sometimes all the audio would stop and monitor randomly shuts off by itself and won’t turn back on unless I hard rest it. The pixel cleaning kept randomly appearing on my screen when playing games. This monitor would be amazing if it had the same brightness nits as LG C2 and instead of a Matt finish panel for a glossy one, smart tv, a better controller, no bugs, glitches or defects and if it had Dolby vision.I returned this, I rather get a LG G2 tv and a LG 27 or 32 gaming monitor. I only bought this cause I thought I could get a 2 in one experience due to the size of the monitor.Buy the LG 32GQ950-B over this, it’s basically the small version of this but no OLED, it has way better brightness, color and honestly better blacks, the blacks on this OLED Monitor looked washed out thanks to the Matt finish panel and terrible brightness levels.
