Juki Stitch Area Magnifier Fits HZL-DX Series Machines

It works wonders magnifying the area, is sturdy, well designed and constructed. I hesitated over the high price, but was frustrated enough trying to see better that I finally bought it. Game changer - much less eye stress, easier to see the needle with terrycloth or other textured fabrics that tend to somewhat hide the needle, unbelievably easy to install once I tilted the machine and quickly saw the hole, stays in place or can be flipped upward out of the way if needed. The Juki Magnifier was worth it to me because now I can more clearly see the fabric under the foot, the needle and thread piercing the fabric, and I find myself much more relaxed not having to peer so intently while I'm sewing. If you hold a regular magnifying lens or mirror over this area, it might give you a sense of whether it would feel as wonderful to you as it does to me. I did that first, and the Juki Maginifier was ever so much better than my little experiment. Since I purchased it from Amazon, I knew I could send it back during the return period if it didn't work the way I expected it to.

I bought this magnifier to use on an intricate quilting project that involved micro stippling. It worked great. I really like that the magnifier swings up and down and from side to side, so I was able to easily adjust it. And, I really like that it's metal rod inserts easily into an opening built into the sewing machine in the perfect location. And, I didn't know the opening was there until I did a little research.

This fit my Juki DX7 machine perfectly. It has a hole made to accept the accessory so it installed by just pushing it in. It moves up and down out of the way easily. It is a game changer if you have any problems seeing your needle and stitches. I highly recommend it.

Small, very blurry.

I like the frosted area on the left side, it's a place to grab without making a visible smear. I flip this magnifier up and down as I want to be precise, or not. The magnifier is offside to the left and I thought that was odd but have realized it makes sense as it leaves room for one's right hand to reach in to the presser foot handle or to manipulate the cloth.

It popped right in my HZL-NX7 perfectly, and is very well made/solid. No idea why it's so much money though, so I took a star off for that.

I truly love my Juki magnifier. It does exactly what it says it does. Super easy to install.

A totally worthwhile addition to my HZL-DX7. It provides really nice visibility to the needle and foot area, and it flips up and stays against the front of the machine when you're not using it. It fits easily into a socket to install it and is easily popped out as well. Some engineer somewhere is proud that he or she thought of this one.
