I have a 2016 Nissan Murano that kept giving me a small evap leak code. The dealer wanted to run a smoke test, etc., but admitted it was probably this part. I installed it in about 15 minutes (put back tires on ramp for easier access. Someone small might not need that!). Viola, problem solved! (After I erased the code and drove a few miles). I was able to pass the nys inspection!

1) I like the newer style with larger solenoid design, I live in California and don’t have corrosion issues. If I lived in rust belt, I would not buy this, maybe get one that is all plastic.2) helpful tip if you are getting any evap codes do this: remove the evap canister, replace this solenoid, check your hoses for cracks to the evap canister, finally clean evap canister throughly with compressed air. You will be surprised how much dirt comes blowing out of the canister, I banged it on all sides and on the ground and blew air through in order to dislodge dirt from all orifices. Took almost an hour of banging and blowing dust out. If you goi down dusty dirty roads expect evap codes when the dusts fills everything up.3) Nissan started selling filter breather kits but you can just install an old school valve cover engine breather filter. Usually $10. This will prevent the dust from being sucked into the canister.

2006 altima v6. Figured for the price, i might as well try this part and it fixed my P0440 code. Part just pushes into the charcoal canister and held in place by the o-ring. Plugged in the wire and fired up the car and light was immediately off. I could blow through the old valve, so it must not have been closing. Gas mileage has gone up 4 miles to the gallon.Wish i did this last year when the light came on. Hardest part of the job is getting car jacked up and secured with stands to then be able to get under the car to get to this part. Doing it myself saved me at least $300.

It lasted one day. My light went out. The smell of gas went away. Next morning light on and gas smell back.

Add said it would fit my truck, but it did not fit.

It fit good and looked like the one I took off.
