I saw a woman with one of these at the pool. I decided to try it and it's so much better than a swim belt. It holds you upright in the pool, so I no longer felt pushed over by the belt. The belt also cut off my breathing. This just goes between your legs with a belt to keep it on - but not constricted. Love it, and more and more people have one in the pool. I wish the pool had one for people to try.

I get acid reflux and the tight floatation belts in my deep water aerobics class made my workouts miserable. I gave up and stopped going to class for a while. But someone mentioned water saddles but they are not all designed for active water exercise. I have been going to water aerobics classes for over 2 years. I tried using flotation belts when I first started, but as others have suggested, they tend to ride up. Our instructors lead very intense, physical workouts, and one of them suggested I try a Water Horse instead of a belt. The difference was evident from the first time I used one. I was able to concentrate on the exercises instead of constantly fussing with a flotation belt. When I started using a Water Horse, I weighed 295 lbs. and had no flotation issues at all. Currently, I'm down to around 235 lbs. and I owe some of the weight loss to the Water Horse for giving me the confidence that it will support me comfortably, and allow me to get the most out of the work outs.Our pool closed about a year and a half ago for a complete remodel and make over. After it reopened, I asked for a Water Horse and the person who got it for me said that I was lucky because that was the ONLY one he could find. The Aerobics' classes usually have 10 or more students and I didn't want to start using a belt again if the pool only had one Water Horse. I looked for, and found a company on Amazon that sells them. Perfect for aqua fitness in deep water. You can use in shallow water too for more intense use of arms and legs. Comfortable and easy to use. Light weight and adds almost no weight to my gear bag. A great addition to my h20 workout gear.

I sure like it for water aerobics. Belts normally used, slip up and make exercise awkward. I did buy shorts (not underpants style) to keep it from chafing my crouch, but it is worth it.

I love this flotation device for the pool. Works better than the pool noodles. It dries quickly and it folds up flat so I can put it in my beach bag. Several of my friends tried mine after I got it and they also ordered them.
