I love this book. It's well-organized, beautifully illustrated, and very detailed. I have purchased copies for friends who are into nutrition and health. The other books by Bowden are just as good.

Easy Read, Good Advice
Nothing earth-shattering here...eat whole, natural foods and reap the benefits. Still, this book does a good job of sorting through some of the white noise surrounding foods like wheat and canola oil in a style that's easy to read and comprehend.

Excellent Reading
This is an amazing book of information about the food you should be eating and why. I sent one to my sister as well and she loves it as much as I do. It tells what foods you should buy organic and what ones you can get by with that are not organic. It lists all the good things that are for your health for each food. It is very inexpensive for the massive amount of info. I am so glad I purchased this book.

Excellent resource that is logically organized, well-indexed, and cites scientific journals and specific scientists, MDs, and nutritionists. Use it primarily from the index or browse to find the good you're getting from vegetables and fruits in today's meal. You can look up individual foods or diseases & conditions (like diabetes, high blood pressure, cholesterol, cancer, etc.). Dr. Bowden writes in an enthusiastic, accessible style that encourages improvement in diet through nutrition-specific information about fruits, vegetables, nuts & spices—while moving readers away from fast food & sugar.Medical schools would do well to introduce their students to nutrition as a tool in the physician's healing toolbox (make MDs more than legal drug dealers or medicine dispensers). This book provides an excellent start as a reference.

Nice book!
This book is very informative, and I learned so much about the different foods that I did not know. I am very happy with purchase. There are different opinions by different people as far as their top healthy foods, but it seems all agree on many of them. This is another way that a person can read the info and decide for him or herself what healthy foods would work the best for their diet----some of the foods I cannot eat because of either allergy or too spicy, but I really have enjoyed the book.
