Are the pages clear? In that, if I insert a photo with writing on the back, it could be seen from the other side?

The pages are not entirely clear. There is a frosted type of insert to separate the two photos in the pocket. You might be able to make out writing on the back of the photo, but it would look kind of cloudy.

Do you insert photos from the top or the sides?

If I remember, correctly, photos are inserted from the top. I bought this beautiful album as a gift for my friend. She really liked it.

Raining hearts doesn't have a pocket on the inside of the cover, should it?

There isn’t an opening to put a photo for the front cover.

Great for my special 4x6 photos!

This is such a cute little photo album. I now have two. They’re very well made, light weight, and I love colorful hearts. I use them for different things and will probably buy more. They hold my photos nicely. The photos don’t slip around and the photo pages are good quality. I like the feel of the cover.

Mini photo album

It was the perfect size for what I wanted. Holds 50 4x6 photos. It is for my granddaughter’s graduation and I didn’t want a full sized photo album. The only drawback was the rivets in the center to hold it together are a little large so the album doesn’t close well. I liked the color and the price was worth it!
