How much water per tablespoon

The only answer I could find in the booklet was 1 teaspoon per quart of water so thats what I used. If anyone knows differently please advise. The instructions were very unclear.

Can you use this in rock beds and if so, will it kill the shrubs and plants around the rocks you spray? Thx

My experience has been that it only prevents germination. If a weed already exists, it won't kill it. I didn't use it in my flower beds, but I assume the same is true for existing plants. Don't use in areas you are planning to seed.

can I use it in a vegetable garden?

Barricade 4l is NOT approved for use in vegetable gardens. It can be used in wildflower gardens and with some ornamental flowering bulbs. Look up ‘Barricade 4L herbicide label’ on the web and you should find the EPA label, which describes application rates, the approved crops or plantings, and susceptible weeds. I suggest you consider “Preen” which is a granular pre-emergent herbicide that is approved for use on many vegetable crops. I use the red label form on my gardens. You can also look up the label for “Preen” on-line.

Where could I find the instructions for application and mix rate?

I left an answer on a separate question on this product page that I went into detail. The label calls for NO MORE THAN .5oz to 1.1oz of product per 1000square feet PER YEAR. find the square footage of the area to be treated, then find out how many gallons of solution it will take to cover that area (a test application with no products added can be helpful) and how many applications per year you want to do. I do .25oz product per 1000sqft per treatments and I treat 3 times per year. This ends up being .75oz per year, which gives me good results and doesn't stress the grass too much, and also leaves a little wiggle room for areas that accidentally get over applied.
