This granite mortar and pestle looks great. I love the polished natural look of the stone. It works really well to grind up smaller portions or smaller herbs or spices. Grinding always brings out the flavor so much more. The size and shape make it easy to grip and use. This is the perfect gift idea.

It is small,but perfect for single person use. The granite makes heavy, so it is less likely to tip over. The bottom of the bowl and the pestal are scored for less slippage and better crushing. This is a really good pro. Enjoy!

This is a brilliant mortar and pestle. It’s strong and solid piece of granite. It can crush rice, and that’s good enough for me.

I expected this was a small, however, it is a tiny mortar and pestle which I did not expect. In terms of functionality it is well crafted out of thick well polished materials and grinds small amounts of dried herbs well. I haven’t tried grinding any peppercorns or harder objects yet, however, I don’t expect any issue beyond the need to do very small amounts because the pestle is small, and therefore not as heavy as it might be if it were larger. I’m including a picture with my hand as a size comparison. For reference, I wear a medium women’s glove.

my goal was to grind teaspoon quantities of seed spices and dried herbs for instant use in recipes in progress. this cute little thing delivers. forget rice in the seasoning directions, who would grind rice? 🤔 it made short work of fennel seeds and whole black pepper, about 30sec to fine powder. I appreciate the roughened working surfaces. I think that grips the seeds better. the exterior is to a satin polish, still elegant. you can get some more shine with a couple of drops of oil. others say it's hard to grip. indeed the base is too small to hold just that. even though my fingers get close to the pestle holding by the rim when working, it's not a problem. I'm keeping it 🧑‍🍳🍸

Serves the purpose for small garlic or spices like pepper and others it will help for rough grindingIf you are Indian student abroad and like to do your spices grinder go for this portable and small may be 3 inches deep

The item is ok . I thought it was a bigger though , but it work perfect when I used it in the kitchen, it heavy and sturdy , looks great , but it slips when using on the counter I have which it tiled so I used a cloth underneath when using. It easy to use and for chip and not sure because it hasn’t yet but it seems to be sturdy. Over it’s a great product.
