Bought two for dual monitors for my laptop - works great
Environment- Dell Inspirion 15-5574; Windows 10 HomeConnected via Dell/Display Link Multiport using 2 HMDI cables (and the port's usb cable to my Laptop)Mounted on North Bayou F160 Gas Strut FlexiMountNot plug and play only because I needed to force Windows to update its drivers for each monitor (one at a time) and the Dell multiport through the device manager, which required several reboots for Windows to recognize all three screens (the 2 Viewsonics and my laptop screen). No issues with the monitors at all -- arrived fast and in great condition, default display settings are noticeably more yellow than my laptop display but the monitor firmware allows for color adjustment (which I haven't done because the difference doesn't bother me). Speakers are kind of tinny, but I was actually looking for monitors without speakers and bought these due to the great price, so, I've set up my Bose bluetooth speaker as my default speaker in Windows which solves the issue mentioned in another review of sound defaulting to the monitor speakers when using HDMI cables. Images are clear, sharp, great for spreadsheets, webpages, etc. (I'm not a gamer so no concerns about refresh rates.)This setup allows me to unplug a single usb connection from my laptop and hit the road, or alternatively to plug in a single usb cord and be back up to a 3 screen workspace which is great. BTW did you know that (once you've got all the monitors "discovered" on Windows they don't need to be in straight line? (IE 1 - 2 - 3) I've set mine up in a V formation in Windows, as they are physically, which makes mouse movements between screens natural and intuitive.Good monitors, great value, past experience with other Viewsonic monitors have always been good.

Excellent Quality, excellent picture quality -- good value for money in its price range
This is the 10th or 12th Viewsonic monitor I've purchased -- each purchase has been to upgrade, I've never had a viewsonic monitor break down on me (knock on wood). Viewsonic's budget-level monitors are a perfect match for my family's general needs: good solid features, beautiful pictures when compared with monitors that cost just 10 or 20 dollars less, exceptional brightness and viewing angles FOR THE PRICE. They are not the cheapest monitors, but for just 10 to 20 dollars more, I get a monitor much higher in quality and features than those from other brands in the budget-friendly price range. For this particular monitor purchase, I had initially purchased a Spectre monitor from Amazon, but when I placed THAT monitor next to my 8-year-old viewsonic monitor, the picture was so washed out on the Spectre by comparison that I immediately returned it to Amazon and ordered this Viewsonic monitor instead. When this new Viewsonic monitor arrived and I hooked it up, the picture quality was as good as I had hoped: excellent brightness, accurate colors, generous viewing angle.

Great form factor and picture quality. Horrible on screen display (OSD) control design!
If you are looking for a lightweight, VESA mountable display, this is the perfect display. It is one of the lightest 24 inch monitors out there with VESA mount. I use two of these displays with two amazon basics single arm monitor stands on a standing desk with no wobble.I upgraded to this display from multiple 19 inch Lenovo Thinkvision displays so as far as I can tell, it's a big step up in quality and viewing area.Cons: The OSD controls are some of the most unintuitive controls ever made. The buttons are 5 identical buttons running underneath the display with small black icon labels that cannot be read in the dark. The power button is one of these five buttons so when you go to calibrate the display or adjust it to match another display, you inevitably move your fingers from the buttons and need to turn on a light to figure out where you need to place your fingers again. You will also press the power button on accident as a result. If you never use the display's adjustment settings you'll never notice and issue but many of the monitor's features like overdrive for lower response time and blue light filter (half the reason for getting it) are buried in the maze of menus.

Nice monitor. But removing the foot stand so you can use a VESA mount is tricky but possible.
I don't play computer games so I can't say how it would work for games. But nothing stands out to make me think there would be an issue with gamers. The backlight duty cycle is fast enough that I cannot perceive any blinking. This monitor is a second monitor to my main much bigger display in Win 10.I use this monitor in a vertical position (requiring an external VESA desk top stand).I use it to display pages of PDFs, and various documents in portrait mode. And since the LCD is IPS the viewing angle is pretty good. Much better than the TN LCD monitor I am replacing.NOTE: The monitor comes with the foot stand attachment already attached. If you are going to use a VESA mount you will want to remove the foot stand mount. It requires removing one screw to start with BUT that's not all! It still won't simply slide out. You have to use a small screw driver to gently pry up and edge because the edge snaps over a plastic edge and is quite locked in place. You cannot get it out without using a small screw driver as a pry bar. They provide no instructions or pictures showing you how. Be careful not to struggle so much you break the glass of the monitor. Once I found the right position for my screwdriver it came out easily. But I spent about 45 minutes struggling with it. Viewsonic really needs some drawings and pictures and even a video showing exactly where to pry to get that foot stand mount off. It was so hard to get it off that I thought for a while it had been glued. Viewsonic even put a little piece of black tape on the thing so it would jam in even tighter adding to the difficulty of removing it. BTW, the monitor wobbles on the foot stand if that black tape is not in place so obviously they had to add that piece of tape after production started to fix that wobble. But I'm using the VESA mount so getting rid of the foot stand was my goal.
