Top notch
Good qualify mount for waterskiing. I have a older very thin life vest and it holds on pretty well to it. On any modern life vest it there is zero issue. In combination with stabilization on a hero 8b there is no wobble even when crossing the wake. Only time i have really seen it is when hitting rollers from a wake surfing boat.

not so much for kayaking.
Unfortunately, I have to agree with other reviewers-- that this is just too shaky on performance PFD's/ life jackets. On my Stohlquist Rocker, there is designed to be lots of movement in the strap for comfort, so this Stuntman vest mount doesn't really work well there. I've also had the camera tilt, before I discovered I really to crank on the bolts to get it to stay put. The extra thick rubber material, where the straps attach, makes the bend-flexibility stiffer there, so where the ball mounts has to be overly flexible, causing additional wobble to the camera. I think this is a great mount for walking, but not so much for white water kayaking (the white water I'm playing generally has 1-2 drownings/ fatalities every year, so it's "no joke")The design of the attaching straps leaves me wondering if it was just blindly contracted to a factory in China. The strap is elastic, yet it's sewn to a non-elastic, slightly grippy ("Slip-not" fabric would have been a better choice) backer fabric... so why the elastic? There is also medium quality stitching done all around. For $22 it is well worth it, ESPECIALLY for "average" use.

close but meh
doesnt work well with PWC lifevests, as the shoulder areas are thin and generally unpadded, so the thing flops around nonstop if you like to drive fast and jump stuff. multiple vests of differing qualities, same result. honestly only the chestie mount and head mount are good for such bouncy water activities, and all have their drawbacks. good attempt
