Better than expected!
The media could not be loaded. I bought this for a recent camping trip, but also thought it would be good just to have in emergencies when I might be out for the day etc, as long as you can get your hands on hot water or carry a flask, you're good to go.When reading some of the other reviews I was a tiny bit worried that this might be a bit of a gimmick, with flaws in design etc. That couldn't be further from the truth, if you handle it correctly and ensure things are screwed in place tightly, this this is mess free, and makes a perfect cup of delicious coffee. (also super easy to clean after use)I was so amazed by how good it was, very well made, simple but effective design, and in my opinion great value. The only way you could either burn yourself or make a mess, is by not appreciating how much pressure is going to be generated and not attaching the parts properly.. I recently ran out of my normal coffee at home and used this for a few days whilst I awaited normal service to resume, it was a god send to fuel my morning ritual/addiction. You can buy the non-Nespresso aluminium capsules at all supermarkets too, and they are super cheap. In summary, I would go as far as to say this is the best thing I have ever purchased of Amazon.

Coffee on the go indeed! And with no mess...
Initial feelings on unboxing were those of happiness. The wrong instructions were included - for the ground coffee and not for the NS model. But it's obvious from the products ergonomics where to put the Nespresso pod. The quality feels solid on the threads used to screw the unit together. I washed with hot water first and flushed with hot water to warm the unit. I think this is a good idea, as it would also be to warm the cup you are using too.I filled it up with water, added a Nespresso pod. Screwed together and started to pump. You need to do it pretty firmly, and after 4 pumps as the pressure in the unit builds, you could hear the pod inside engage with some very sharp teeth which puncture the pod. Don't touch the sharp teeth!!Strong coffee started to flow. I'd say after three pumps you could stop and you'd have a very intense ristretto style. I kept going as I like mine a bit weaker than that. Obviously the more you pour the weaker the coffee gets.I recommend to put about 10% more water than you would normally use into the reservoir so you have sufficient for your beverage. Just stop pumping when you're done. It was a little stiff to undo the pressure containing piece after I drank the coffee. No real mess. A rinse and it's ready to go again.Coffee was excellent. If I had to compare it to my dedicated Nespresso machine I'd say it's 95%... but extremely close. Maybe a tiny tiny bit thinner but really it could just be me. It's very good. Very convenient. And seems on initial experience, well built.Only word of warning: it involves pouring boiling water into a small reservoir, and then screwing parts together. So you need to be careful and have somewhere safe and stable to make the drink of you could quite easily knock it or spill water on your hand and hurt yourself.Really nice portable product. Intuitive enough to use without the instructions. Would make a great gift for a coffee lover if they already have a favourite Nespresso flavour, so they can replicate it on the move. It makes one coffee at a time and I'd say it takes two minutes or so from when your water is boiled to put it together and product the drink. So you probably wouldn't want to make a round of 10 cofffee with it. Really for a solo or couple of coffees on the go.Highly recommended

Great travel espresso maker
I was happy when I discovered this product since I find myself in places where I can't get my much required dose of caffeine. I just finished making my first espresso with it and I must say it is very handy and easy to use. The espresso was good, although not machine quality since this device doesn't have the same pressure a Nespresso machine can generate. I don't expect it to be as good since this is my "worse case scenario" device and not my primary espresso maker. So, bottom line, if you travel and find yourself in a place where you can't get an espresso, get this device with a few Nespresso compatible pods and you're golden, otherwise if you are really picky about your coffee then go to a coffee house or purchase a proper brewer.Pro's- It is solid and well-made- It is a good size and weight for travel- Nespresso compatible version is easy to clean- All you need is hot water. Run some hot water in it before usage to increase the temperature of your coffeeCon's- The resulting espresso will not be as thick as when brewed by a proper machine

Excellent mobile coffee machine!!
I had previously seen these when looking for coffee machines, when out and about in the campervan. A change in subscription with a certain coffee chain saw these looked at again for use whilst working in London.Quick delivery and I have to say I love it. Simple to use and gives a good caffeine hit, which is all I was looking for. Not much bigger than my hand, the size is very portable and could easily be placed in a rucksack.Add your capsule and hotwork and then squeeze. Pressure builds up and then pop! The coffee flows! A nice, creamy espresso is what you will get.Several people at work have seen this and wondered what it is and like the look of it. Highly recommended.
