do plugger type and/or glue in type rubber plugs work on a budget tyre.???? D.K.

I have used this product on Pirelli and Dunlop tyres and it worked a treat. I cannot see why it would not work on budget tyres as it will plug a hole in the rubber whether its a £50 tyre or a £200 tyre

Q: Does this require glue?

No glue required. When inserted the mushroom heads are on the inside of the tyre the stalks are are a snug fit through the hole sealing it.

you get loads of plugs with this kit. Black mushroom ones, that work really well. Never heard of red plugs??? Ridden over 1000 miles on one tyre repaired with their black mushroom plugs... never lost one psi of pressure

Q: does anyone know whether long term use of this fix would invalidate your insurance?

I initially put ''I don't know'' which is still the case. However, the more I thought about this the conclusion I came to was from a point of safety, it should only be used as a stop gap and not for long term use. Put yourself in the position of driving down a motorway at 70mph. Tyres bursts where the repair was made, you lose control of the car, put yours and your passengers life's in danger plus other car and its passengers. Personally, I think the insurance would take a dim view if the repair was months old. Safety should be paramount
