Q: Are the soles "bouncy" and provide cushioning without having sore feet within a couple of hours?

Soles are firm. I have inserted insoles within for my own comfort but have never suffered sore feet with or without insoles fitted. Great boots great price.

No they don’t have a steel toe cap. Although there maybe models that do

Q: Are these wide enough to go over my leather motorbike trousers

Can't say for sure. I have tried thin military fatigues+socks which fit fine but heavy winter pants+winter socks get a bit squeezed. Good thing is, these boots have plenty of shoelace for extra slack. I don't have experience with leather motorbike trousers but I suppose they don't fold easily plus crinkling them low down with corners to fit the boot may harm the leather after use. If your pants have a thin ankle circumference, they should fit no problem.

Q: Are these boots suitable for hiking?

The soles are rubbery-type, so for proper hiking, I'd say no; you want actual hiking boots for that, with hard soles and tough outer to stop you breaking an ankle. For all-round boot-use, these are ideal and excellent for their price. If I were going camping, for example, and expected to be going up and down hill, I'd still wear these - but only because I don't have a proper set of hiking boots ;)
