I bounced back and forth between the various models and the associated feedback before taking the plunge and opting for this model. Following placing the order I contacted Sonic' to confirm that the courier had my mobile number as my address is hard to find, and I was very pleased with the helpfulness and great customer service I had from them. To my pleasant surprise it arrived express overnight delivery and landed the next day (today); considering this is Christmas week I reckon this is worth mentioning.It's a heavy box (39kgs), inside it comes in four parts; base, back and two arms. This allows it to get through the tiniest door spaces prior to assembly- albeit that the box is so big it probably won't fit through your front door (unless you live in a castle).The parcel arrived at about 830, and considering my fine motor skills are poor this time of the day and that my brain does not come off choke until about 11am (for the older readers), I was very impressed with the ease of instructions and actual assembly. It all slots together on robust and solid metal rails / runners.The chair looks plush, comfy and much more expensive than it is. I have looked hard and cannot see any obvious cosmetic or mechanical flaws.Sitting upright in the chair provides a very comfortable position indeed (I have a bad back and bad knees). You are able to raise the foot rest separately to the reclining action. A light touch lever on the slide allows the footrest to raise into a very comfortable position, from here if you wish to recline all you need to do is gently lean back whilst bracing your hands on the armrests. Sitting upright is as easy as leaning forward and the back follows you gently up. A gentle push with your calves provided by the natural 'reverting to sitting position' moves the footrest down. A last push clicks it quietly back into place. The mechanism is finely balanced in all respects and the whole process requires little effort but stills feels sturdy and solid. This is a day one review, but I am very impressed with this chair considering its excellent .price

Ordered late on a Friday, took delivery the following Tuesday, well before the expected delivery date. I followed the delivery tracking information sent to me via e-mail by the supplier so I could arrange for someone to be available to accept it. As for the chair it is fantastic especially for the price. Bought this as I couldn't get on with a brand new sofa from a leading supplier, and thought it was worth a risk as even if you sit on something in a showroom the one you get is not as comfortable as the one you tried out. So back to the chair, it does everything it says on the advert. It is just right for me with the leg support up but with the back in it's natural position. The bonded leather (google this to see what it actually is) has a sumptuous feel and seems good quality. The reclining mechanism works flawlessly. It looks smart, in fact looks better than some twice it's price. All in all, I love it !

Delivered 2 days after order,left on doorstep as no one in, requires 2 people to lift box,had to unpack to lighten the load to be able to turn box on its side to get through front door.Chair in reclining position is comfortable and i have fallen asleep most times that i use,which was the purpose of buying,as i am having sleep problems in bed.You need good strong legs below the knee to reposition upright from the reclining position to make the chair latch in the upright,maybe theres a knack in doing this that i have not found.i am a 58year old male,anyone frail would struggle to cope with repositioning from recliner to chair in my opinion.Price of chair is good and appears sturdy and well built,chair is larger than my other chairs and needs a good space to recline.All in all for me a good first time recliner buy that did not break the bank and is comfortable to fall asleep on.Great service from Sonic and recommend to all.

This was easy to put together and is very comfortable as I have fallen asleep in it many times.And very good bonded leather and who doesn't like a bit of bondage.

Poorly put together lots of scratch marks on the chair and other issues i cant put into words,some screws were found on the floor underneath that had come from the reclining part,very disappointed.
