Miraculous stuff!
I had an ant problem that escalated so quickly and could not find the source of attraction. I sprinkled a small amount on key heavy-trail areas and within 1β2 hours there were no more ants anywhere. Itβs an absolute miracle and god send! ππ» There is no smell.

Works well on contact.
It works. Any ants that make contact with this stuff, die. It takes about 20 mins but they are dead ants walking. I don't think this will do much to kill ants in the nest, if they carry some back with them...but it does encouage them to move on.

Good product
This is very similar to a product called Coopex Power that is sold as an insecticide in the East. We were having an irritating ant problem in our living room and I tried using an insecticide pen. But the crevices of our patio doorway meant that the insecticide was not able to take effect there and the ants kept returning. This is a nice large bottle and the product is similar to talcum powder in consistency. It pours out through a single fine hole so you can squeeze the bottle and "spray" the powder in precise places. I did it along our patio door runners and the crevice between the carpet and the wall.Within a few minuets, you can see the bugs doing the dance of death. Sad but at least it does its job quickly. The affected ants died within a few minutes (I suspect it might have a neurotoxin as it takes effect very rapidly) and after that, no further ants tried to enter our living room.Another positive thing is that it is safe enough to be used with a baby in the house ... although I personally keep a hawk eye on my toddler and make sure she does not venture near the white stuff.Four stars because it only works in bone dry conditions. If for example it rains or if you are mopping the floor and the water gets to the powder, it becomes ineffective. Also, if it enters any waterways, it is harmful to aquatic life.I guess everything has its pros and cons. Best to use it in dry conditions and once the bugs go away, vacuum it up and dispose of it.

It kills a lot of ants quickly
I noticed the fine 'sand' emerging from the cracks in a parking slab, about 1m away I lifted a large stone from a garden border and instantly had dozens of ants crawling all over me. Under the stone were numerous holes and a hive of ant activity. Seriously there must have been hundreds of them pouring out of the holes to greet me. I put the stone back and, after the usual decision battle of reviews v price, ordered this stuffPuffed and squirted the powder into every hole I could see, put the stone back again. Came back the following day and not an ant to be seen.

The only product I've found that does the job immediately
There is a very good reason why Nippon Ant Powder has been on the market such a long time, and that is because t's effective. The ants get the powder on them and take it back to the nest where the other ants get their dose. Bye bye ants!Ants invaded my living room. I had run out of Nippon and hadn't been able to find it locally, but I wasn't bothered because although my neighbour two doors down is plagued with them they had never come into my home. Then, last Sunday, they did! My living room had been invaded, they were even walking over the sofa. I tried borax, lavender and mint (both fresh and crushed, not essential oils because I have cats), cinnamon, etc., things I had in the garden and the kitchen cupboard, along the door threshold. None of them proved an effective deterrent, so I ordered some Nippon from Amazon with next day delivery and in the meantime I dealt with the invaders individually via Dyson or foot as they appeared. I'm sure they learned what the sound of the Dyson meant for them! As soon as my delivery arrived I unpacked it and puffed the powder along the edge of the patio where it meets the threshold strip. No more ants came in that way but, when I went into the kitchen that evening, I found a few ants in there, so I repeated the dose outside that door. That was last Monday and I haven't seen another ant in or near either door since. I will order more so I don't risk running out again.I have to deduct one star for ease of use because it is difficult to direct it if you need to put it in a narrow gap. There is just a small hole in the top which is easily blocked because the powder is so fine. It's easily cleared, but puffing it out through that hole means you cannot direct it and it therefore goes onto surfaces where you may not want it. If it had even a small nozzle it would be easier to direct into tight spaces. Although it says it's safe to use around cats and dogs I don't really want the risk of my cats getting it on their paws and licking it off.

If you're killing ants then it's five stars
The powder kills any ant it touches, so if you wanna run around and kill ants for fun, then great! However, it does not remove the ant problem as the queen will never set foot outside and never get in contact with this powder. So you'll still have ants. I should give this item five stars for the murder capability but anyone buying this will probably be buying this to get rid of an infestation, and you'll waste your money if you get this. Get boric acid instead!
