Easy to use
Bought this to blacken my multi fuel burning stove now 11 years old and never treated before and was amazed with the result and very happy. It is a thick gunky paste that is a bit slow to come out of the bottle but I only needed to use one coat and it looks brand new again. It was instant gratification. Easy to apply , wear gloves as I did and you won't stain your hands . It gives a deep black finish and should not have to use it again for another few years. Really pleased with how it refreshed the look of my stove. Recommend it.

Good product
Used this on my log burner it really came up like new. Zero smell and you don’t have to wait to use your fire after use. The bottle will last a while as you don't need much to cover stove.

Little bottle that makes a big difference
Really easy to use, I applied mine with a cleaning sponge as that is all I had and it still made leaps of difference. It has brought the life back in to my fire stove. I would highly recommend this product!

Poor packaging, fantastic polish
The media could not be loaded. We haven’t clean the outside of our log burner the entire time we’ve had it (around 7 years) shameful I know 😬So we thought it was about time we tried to spruce the log burner up and give it some attention it deserves 🔥As soon as the polish arrived, I was thoroughly unimpressed - The bottom of the bottle was covered in the polish and it looked a mess. From that point, I was sure I was going to dislike this polish… Oh, how wrong I was!To prepare the burner before using the polish I got some soapy water and gave it a really quick wash down, left it to dry and came back later in the day to apply the polish.I put gloves on, grabbed my sponge and got to work polishing the log burner. The polish itself is a black gunky, sludgy texture that (to me) had zero smell, which I was pleasantly surprised about.I starting applying the polish to the burner (see video) and was absolutely shook at just how black this stuff turned the burner… It was like cleaning it back to being brand new 🙌After covering the whole thing, I left to dry for a few hours before reapplying a second coat and lighting the fire to seal the coats.Things to note:- I wore TWO pairs of disposable gloves and this stuff still went through them, leaving me with some very black finger nails. Glove up people 🧤- Next time I use the polish, I will definitely put some newspaper or kitchen towel down to catch drips and spills (user error not the fault of the polish at all)- As soon as you apply it’s quite an intense black colour, but once this starts drying, it does get a little lighter, so multiple coats does help to achieve a deeper black- Using a sponge worked great, but it did start to make the sponge disintegrate, so don’t plan to reuse the sponge- Despite applying two coats of this stuff, I still have loooads left in the bottle- No smell even when fire was lit after applying the polish- I had no rust or damage on my log burner so can’t help with how this stuff works on rust/damage- Love this stuff and highly recommend, I’ll be buying and using this in future

Great in the short term but needs a few coats
Instantly darkens your log burner but it seems to lighten up when the burner gets hot. I’ve tested it on a bit of fire cement and even with 10+ coats the cement is still cement coloured. I might need to paint over this and use the polish to maintain
