Compatibility and fit to your specific motor/outdrive.
Fantastic product. appears tough, is visually appealing. Easy to install, fits great. Unfortunately I did find that they dont make an exact model for my outboard and even in research I had a tough time with narrowing down compatibility but most skegs are very similar in size in close HP ranges so it still fit great(was just nervous up to install).

Great buy, would purchase again
Purchased this guard for my alpha one Mercruiser. It fit perfectly, and install was literally 5 minutes. Fit and finish are great, no complaints and it spiffed up the rear of the boat a little more

Easy, cheap, and quick way to fix a broken skeg
Looks good. Easy, cheap, and quick way to replace a broken skeg.But it shouldn't be called a skeg protector because if your skeg doesn't have a piece missing then this thing won't fit it. I had a chunk missing off the forward section of the skeg, had to cut off about an inch from the bottom of the rearward section in order to make it fit.
