Best laptop I’ve ever used, I love it
I’ve been an Apple user since 1980 and haven’t touched a windows computer since Xp. I’d decided that I needed a new laptop and the new MacBook Pros do look good but I needed Access and that’s just not available on Mac OSX.So I looked around at Windows laptops and liked the look of the Microsoft Surface 5 laptop. I have to say, up close this computer is absolutely gorgeous, Microsoft have out Appled Apple in making a beautiful laptops. The all aluminium construction is so beautifully put together. The black looks wonderful, it’s by far the best looking laptop I’ve seen in a very long time. I read several reviews, after buying, and was worried. Most reviewers were disappointed with the laptop saying it wasn’t a real upgrade from the Surface 4 laptop. Well, I never used the Surface 4 laptop and this is a great machine. I love the construction, this laptop may just have turned be into a Windows user, just holding this laptop you can feel how premium it is. It feels solid. I may never buy a Mac again. I love that it still has an old USB 1 port, I have lots of devices that use that. It also has a thunderbolt USB 4 port, with is fantastic. It means I can use my old MacBook charger as a spare charger, very useful as if I wanted to buy a spare charger it’d cost £160 from Microsoft. The i7 processor is fast and can handle everything I need of a computer. The cooling system is whisper quiet, I haven’t heard it yet. And the 16gb ram means I haven’t run into any issues with multitasking. I thought the touch screen would just be a gimmick but after a few minutes of use I realised it’s so useful. Every laptop should have a touch screen. Scrolling long documents is so easy and natural by touching the screen. I was surprised just how often I find myself touching the screen now and when I’m using my old MacBook I’m always surprised that the screen doesn’t respond to my touching it. I love this laptop.

Good Laptop for Academics
I had been using a MacBook, but wanted to get back to Windows for various reasons. This has the build quality of a MacBook - solid metal case, excellent keyboard (that's better than the Mac), and while I've only had it a few works seems very durable. The battery life doesn't seem to be what was promised (I got this when just out and seen reviews after that say the Surface 4 has a better battery life), can get a day's work out of it (Word, PowerPoint, Email, light internet usage), but not really enough for a full day of work and play, so need to do overnight travel with the charger which is bulkier than the Macbook (my last one was just the plug and cable, which was a USB-C so worked for both my laptop and phone, but as this is a bulkier charger with adapter and its own system need 2 chargers for that). I was using the 12 inch Macbook (discontinued) so this is heavier, but its a bigger laptop and screen so can't complain about that, and not too heavy. The touchscreen is a nice benefit over the MacBook, and getting used again to Windows system. It's start up (face recognition) is really fast, and so within seconds up and ready to go with internet connection set without typing a password. Reviews suggested 8MB was enough RAM, which is what my MAcBook had, and generally its enough but sometimes can be slower (with 2 web browsers open with multiples tabs, running other Office applications, Adobe etc.), so 16MB may have been a better idea. Overall, looking at reviews, this is a really nice laptop, but I'd say the Surface 4 will do everything you need and is a much better price now this is out.

been eyeing this up for a while!
So this laptop is simply amazing! I had been looking at getting the Microsoft Pro laptop for some time and when it was on offer through Prime Day deals I didn't hesitate. The laptop looks fantastic in all black, its light weight and sleek. The speed if far superior to my old laptop, no wait time at all between turning it on and being able to use it. The graphics are fab and its really refreshing to use. I like the touch screen bit too and it works well, but if you don't want to use that function it doesn't really make any difference. Battery life is great, although I will say the charger is a bit strange. It is somehow magnetic which 98% of the time isn't an issue but it can come off quite easily if your not being 'aware' of it. over all still worth the money.

Good screen size but also very light
I wanted to replace my Surface Pro 7 10.1" screen for a laptop with a larger screen. I've been very happy with this over the last few months. It is very thin and light to carry around and easily manages all the things I need to do for work and home. The face recognition is amazingly quick on opening the laptop but it's not quite as fast with Windows Hello but acceptable.Battery life is a bit disappointing and the charging unit is not particularly portable though the laptop can be charged through a USB-C using a 65W adapter when travelling

Very good
Love it. Perfect for college. Only annoying thing is the light on the keyboard goes off when it's not responsive... which can't be changed. But it's perfect, i've had it since february and the bettery life is amazing, and it's easy to use. Love that it's touchscreen as well.

It's nice but it's not a macbook
Nice, high quality build. Fantastic screen. Low quality camera (By today's standards). Performance is fine for a productivity laptop - good battery life, windows 11 (a game changer) and Office apps. Can't compete with a Macbook overall but gives you most of the high quality build and if you need to run engineering and scientific apps (I do) it's as good as you're going to get.

Better than a Surface Pro
Using the laptop for setting up my new business, have been a stalwart Surface Pro person for a while, but, this is better, bigger and has more functionality.
