I am not sure which thermostat you currently have but if you have the single zone thermostat then yes you would need to replace if you are going to have two AC units using the same thermostat. You need the 10 button 3314082.011 white or 3314082.000 Black and the control board 3312020.000. For further information, contact our support team at customersupportcenter@dometic.com.

Yes We had to purchase a control kit our other dometic wasn't compatible. Wasn't in the description on Amazon but on the Dometic website.
