iSi Silicone Measuring Cup (2-Cup Capacity)

These flexible measuring cups might be my favorite new kitchen tools of all! I have two full sets of the 3 sizes (1,2 and 4 cups) because I don't want to use any other style for measuring liquids and have given at least 6 cups/sets to friends and family. The key is that they bend to your hand so you don't spill as you pour. This is also why they make such good funnels. For those of you who might bring something like hot soup to lunch, you can pour the soup straight from the hot pan to one of these flexible measuring cups and then right into your thermos. Also, the plastic is thick enough that your hands can hold these cups filled with boiling hot liquids. They are easy to clean and come out of the dishwasher in great shape. I still use a full set of non-flexible cups for my dry ingredients where I can take a knife across the top to ensure exact measurements.

This is a versatile up! Measure hot or cold liquids and it’s flexible so it’s easy to pour from this cup. I toss it in the dishwasher and it comes out perfect and ready to use.I have one and bought one for my daughter and daughter-in-law. One of those great to use kitchen gadgets, not one that will just sit on the shelf!

This silicone measuring cup had a plastic-y chemical smell at first. Washing it did NOT make it go away. It worried me because none of my other silicone kitchen stuff ( bowls, spatulas ) had a smell. Luckily the smell left after a couple of weeks.Its sturdy enough to stand up by itself while holding liquids. But you can squish it to form a spout when you need to. I'm mostly just glad it can't shatter. My last measuring cup ( the 'new' pyrex kind ) broke and shards went everywhere.

I love this measuring cup,it’s sturdy but not stiff you can still grip it to pour liquids and you can see through it and the numbers are very easy to read

I have been trying to find this exact item for 5 years. Shortly after I received my original three-piece set My great granddaughter snuck it in the bedroom and made some kind of gooey thing that she sawing a science program. And she didn't tell me and I found it weeks and weeks later and her trash can hidden under the bed. This matches perfectly.

Admittedly, I had already owned one of these products before so when purchasing these, I was already aware of the multiple ways that I used the product. They last a long time. The additional purchases this time were due to the fact that I had started recently using them to hear water in the microwave to make tea. Does a wonderful job. The supplies was quick and the product arrived in perfect shape and after a quick wash was ready to go to work; and that it has done. I am glad I found the vendor.

I intially purchased this cup to keep next to my baby's bottle making stuff so my husband would get the right amount of water in each bottle...but it has turned into the most popular cup in the house that I need to order more!! It is so handy to just have on the counter and use whenever something needs to be measured, or just when water needs to be transported somewhere (dog bowl, cat bowl, etc). My kids like using it just for a drinking cup because it is an interesting size. I agree with other users that I wish it had other markings (like oz, ml), but I can calculate the oz's by using the cup measurements. Purchase this cup for all of your measuring needs and you will want more!!*****UPDATE*****More than a year and a half later of use, this still looks brand new and still gets used many times throughout the day for a variety of things. I read other reviews about people complaining it doesn't have oz or ml markings....it never advertised to nor does the picture show it. That never bothered me because it just sticks in my head a cup is 8 oz, 1/2 cup is 4 oz...and so on. I love this thing so much I am going to buy the others in different sizes.

Being silicone, it accepts a wide temperature range. The label rates it for use up to 500 Fahrenheit. So, if you bump it against something hot, it probably isn't going to melt. It is moderately flexible so that you can easily squeeze it to pour into a small opening or the like. In many cases, this will alleviate the need for a separate funnel. Yet it is ridged enough to reliably hold most things when you pick it up.And unlike the fancy glass ones, this is not at all likely to break, if you drop it.It has markings for measuring milliliters, liters, ounces, and fractions of a cup but is lacking markings for measuring other units, such as pints.Silicone cups tend to be somewhat more expensive then those made of many cheaper materials, However, this one is less than some.
