Great product
This item has saved me from having to lift my 101 year old grandpa off the toilet 10 times a day. It also has given him freedom to get off the toilet himself. The two handles on the sides really help because it gives him the leverage he needs to let himself down onto the pot without raising it for him, for now. As stated in others reviews, the motor is slower, but it is fine enough for us. It was simple enough to put together, and it’s really sturdy. I do recommend removing the lid or buying a lidless toilet seat, because it will fall on your loved one and leave an awkward lift experience.

Safe, independence, comfort
Really sturdy build. Compared to other products on the market this is very affordable. You can mount your own toilet seat to make sure you sit comfortably. I have mounted a soft seat, which provides comfort as well as some non-slip to avoid the feeling of sliding off. The design is very clever. The weight is a con when installing, but a huge plus once in place. Because it feel so safe. The only downside I can think of, is the complexity for cleaning and making sure you have a power outlet nearby. But those are minor things compared to the independence that is gained.

Excellent product and customer service
I don't usually write reviews, but I felt compelled to write one about this product and its customer service. My wife is disabled and requires assistance with transfers, especially in the bathroom. Trying to lift someone from a sitting to standing position has always been a challenge for both us until I found this device. We have been using it everyday for over a year now and it has made an immeasurable difference for us both, making it easier on her and definitely easier for me, especially for my back. This device is solidly built, sturdy, and works flawlessly every time. In addition to its excellent construction, it has a common sense feature that similar devices costing more than twice as much somehow overlooked... the arm rests can be swung out of the way to make transfers easier. This may sound trivial, but believe me, it is not.As good as a product is, what is just as important is the customer service and I can say from firsthand experience that this company's customer service is excellent. After we had used it daily for about 9 months we noticed that on the top metal lifting plate, where you mount your own toilet seat, a little of the paint on the inner edges started to wear off. This didn't affect the operation of the unit, so I just ignored it. After nearly 13 months, it had become enough that I was afraid the exposed metal might start to rust. I looked at the warranty and it said that it was for one year, so I contacted the company (MCombo) and explained the problem and said I knew that it was out of warranty, so would it be possible to purchase a replacement top plate (which is a big part). The customer service rep said I should take a couple pictures of the problem and send them along with my Amazon order number and contact information, which I did.I was waiting for a response with instructions on how to purchase one and how much it would cost when to my surprise, just three days after I sent the information, a brand new part showed up at my door. No hassles, no bill, just excellent, above and beyond service.I highly recommend this product (toilet lift) and this company (MCombo)

Life saving product for ALS patient
The media could not be loaded. Husband has ALS. At this stage he can still standup if the seat is over 23 inch. This allow the toilet seat to be higher.Pro:- the best product and best price in the market.- We also able to install a beget on top of it and work great.- lift pump is quiet- very sturdy and solid- easy to install especially with the instruction video here- arm rest can lift up- can move out of the way to cleanA few things that can improve however.- the lift movement is pretty slow- the gap between seat is big ( but I can put some blocker or styrofoam to help block the water)- the tilt is very steep. For handicap people, it almost feels like the tilt at the end 30% is to sliding them down the seat, even though I set the front very high and the end very low, it is still very steep tilt at the last few movement of lift.- worry about the paint of the edge rim of the seat. Feel Iike they can peel off and get rusty. But I can always repaint it I guess.Still an excellent product for the price

Great product
This is fantastic for persons having trouble getting up from toilet. Comes up slowly you are in total control stops when button is released. It’s heavy and very sturdy. It’s a bit wide and does take up some space so take careful measurements. I didn’t realize that you mount your own toilet seat on top of the lift. Great product for handicap.

Great Product
My wife has trouble rising from a chair or toliet seat. I had purchased a electric lift chair from McCombo last year and have been thoroughly pleased with it so I was anxious to try their electric lift toilet seat and I have been thoroughly pleased with it also. It is rather slow and takes about 45-50 seconds to fully lift but this is fine with me and makes it safer. It is easy to assemble and operates very quietly. McCombo provides very good customer service and the price is less than many other similar products. I could not be more pleased and highly recommend this product!

Thus is not an easy unit to assemble
The unit is helpful to the user. The rising and lowering speed could be a bit faster. In addition. the toilet lid will fall when the unit is in the fully upright position. Installation was terrible. The box it was shipped in appeared to have been returned to manufacturer, as if someone gave up assembly. In our case, two men. One an experience mechanic and one a Professional Engineer took almost 3 hours to assemble the base unit. Twice we had to undo work, to make parts fit. Its very sturdy, but hard to assemble. And even then the toilet lid falls on the user. A trip to Lowes found a toilet seat without lid, but now have to go back to get screws that allow attachment of toilet lid on this steel plate of this unit. I would recommend again, but be aware its very hard to assemble
