Big Model - Tricky To Build
Not really much can be said about this kit - this was my first truck and while it turned out OK it was not an easy process. Along the way, I lost interest in this model mainly due to some fit issues.Another drawback is the volume of pre chromed parts. This is an utter pain if you want to hid join marks and the like. After spending hours detailing an engine the whole thing had to be glued shut as I could not get the fit to look right or sit right.Painting it is dead easy, you really do not need anything other than some basic colours, grey, yellow, black, silver and blue. For the clear parts, I used Tamiya clears. When finished is quite big and also quite heavy - which was a suprise. Would I recommend this - not really unless you have a maybe build some cars or trucks and do not mind working with pre chromed parts. I know you can strip the chrome parts back, so maybe that's the way to go.If you are making this kit buy some super glue, you will need a ton of the stuff to finish the model as regular cement seems unable to bond chrome to the model.
