How well does this work with high thread count Egyption cotten material?

We used it on very thick combat trousers which were cream and we dyed them chocolate brown. Every inch was covered well and they were really thick cotton combats. You would never have known they started out as a different colour. If doing it in a washing machine run it with clear water for about 3 goes after to get all dye out of the machine.

Is this safe to use with a septic tank

Yes it’s fine. You only need to avoid bleach or anti bacterial products with a septic tank.

Do these pods work on a cooler temperature? I'm worried my curtains may shrink at 40 degrees

Hi, I've just read the package and no mention of using at a 30 degree, only 40 degree. I'd say, if your curtains don't specify washing at 40 degrees on the label, I wouldn't chance it.

What colour dylon should i use if i have an earth brown, darkish brown piece of cotton material thaz i want to dye purple?

I am sorry you cannot dye a dark brown material a lighter different colour. This would just not work. If 100% cotton you could bleach it at your own risk but I would not recommend. Contact Dylon for advice.
