No left or right, the Top bolt will go into the shock with nut on outside bottom to sway bar nut to inside. Google year make model for torque. 35 ft lbs is typical

Q: are these pre-greased?

they are sealed ball joint unit, pre-greased. not my favorite but, no one at jiffy lube knows what a grease zert is anymore. Most the Outer tie rods ends I got from had grease zerts.
