Have not had if for long, but so far it has been a much better upgrade and quality is excellent. Sound is much better then my OEM stereo. I thought I had DSP and had amaseaudio service emailed and they were great company to work with. I got all my answers quickly. Mine ended being plug and play except for the remote wire that I had to splice into my climate controls to turn on with engine on. You do have to cut the plastic cage in the dash to fit properly, but not much cutting is needed for this and after that, it’s an almost perfect fit. The OS system is easy and clean and so far have had no problems. If you have the BM54 tuner, you do need the extension cable that you have to run from the rear by the battery to the front of the car. The steering wheel controls work perfectly along with the Bluetooth and WiFi on this unit. I highly recommend amaseaudio for your bmw aftermarket replacement. If you have no power after installing, fisrt check if your remote wire is getting power. Mine was not on the OEM plug.

Bought this system (previous version) a couple years ago, and because the car (BMW X5) was in storage, I never installed it until a couple days ago. First of all, I don't mess with radio's and such so I thought I lost a connector because the two I had were labeled, "BMW E46/E39", and mine is an E53. The one I had did fit but didn't look like the correct one because it so I contacted the company. They were very helpful in fixing a non-problem because after a couple emails, I finally thought, "Why not plug it in and see if it works". So I connected up the battery and lights came on! Got it connected up to my phone and going to load some more apps. Looks great in the car and looking forward to seeing what it can do. Really appreciate the help their customer support provided! Now if I can find the antenna cable, it's in there somewhere....

Great unit for this price. Install was fairly easy and the fitment is really good. I've had a few different aftermarket Android/CarPlay units and all can be quirky with connectivity. For me it's just always best not to rely on the bluetooth but connect using the USB port. With the canbus adapter it retains all the steering wheel controls and also shows on screen doors that are opened. I plan on getting the ODBII plug so I can use the TORQUE diagnostic app as well.

Interesting hardware but support is non existent. I had touch screen ghost inputs and very sketchy Bluetooth and my queries went unanswered. So I returned it. Don't bother.

7/25/20this is an update to my previous posting. Customer service was found to be exceptional but the product still remain as android 9. Representative spent over 7 days with me trying to upgrade the unit to android 10 and also to resolve the easylink issue. Ended up sending me another headunit, but the new one was also android 9. I was rude to the representative and sometime even combatitive but the customer service agen remained professional and guided me step by step. I missed customer service like this. Although the headunit is Android 9, but he helped me get the Carplay working as well as the Easylink with the new headunit. changing the review to 4 for that reason.This is not an Android 10. it's 10inch Android 9 headunit. There is one line in the description that states that this is Android 9, but all other features and descriptions are for Android 10 headunit. I was about to return the product, but I spent hours installing the cable for this unit from the trunk. I was not going to remove and install another extension set for another unit, so I'm sort of stuck with this unit. Basically a good looking unit and acceptable sound quality. EasyLink is useless because it disconnect every couple seconds. Wifi works but slow. Functional unit but I feel misled. Oh! the instruction for the unit is in the unit as a PDF file.. how stupid is that.. how can anyone read the instruction and operate on the same screen? One last thing... no instructions what so ever was included.

2000 bmw 528i (e39) installed and works perfectly. Doesn't need the extra harness cable.

Brought this for my BMW, love the easy installation and how it sounds and fits like it came with the car, very easy to use. Great option. Highly recommend 👍
