You can use a popular stargazing app to help you find your target and then try to aim at your target with the help of the 2 triangle humps on the telescope. About the app, I've tried SkyView and SkySafari. I think they're good.

Q: What type of eyepiece does it use? Are there higher magnification eyepieces available?

The included eyepiece aperture is 20mm which brings 37.5X magnification. Currently we don't have a higher magnification eyepieces available, you can follow our facebook homepage @sarblueoptics and once we have it we'll let you know. You can also match it with other 1.25‘’ eyepiece. A 10mm eyepiece gives 75X magnification.

Q: Is there a seal around the lid to prevent water or dirt from entering the inside of the tube?

No, there's no seal around the lid. It does come with a rubber lens cover however this is not waterproof. The lens cover itself is a lil flimsy and can pop off quite easily. Hope I answered your question 😃

Q: Can this be attached to a dslr camera? if so how? thanks.

Yes. I've tried attaching a Nikon camera to the visual back of the telescope by using a T-ring and 0.965'' to 1.25'' adapter. Attached is a video I took with it. Besides, I see a few mak60 owners attaching their dslr to the diagonal of the telescope and they said it works fine. That setup requires T-ring and 1.25'' adapter. Note the adapter should be compatible with the model of your camera.
