CROSSTownsend Medalist Ballpoint Pen with 23CT Gold-Plated Appointments incl. Luxury Gift Box/Refillable Medium Ballpen

I purchased a Quartz Blue Lacquer/Rhodium Plated CROSS Townsend Pen, which was beautifully balanced in my hand. It is also stunning to look at when the light reflects of the diamond engraved body pattern. I was so impressed with this pen, I decided to compliment it, by purchasing the Black Lacquer/Rhodium Plated version.The Pen was delivered using Prime Next Day Delivery and as expected was beautifully balanced in my hand. The Black Lacquer finish with Rhodium Plated appointments gives the Pen a real sense of Quality and Class. Both pens sent by Amazon included a Luxury Gift Box which lead to a certain amount of disappointment concerning this Townsend Quartz Blue Lacquer Pen. The Townsend Black Lacquer Pen came with a Substantial Snap-Hinged Box which looks absolutely amazing. I would certainly classify this as a Luxury Gift Box and is very much in keeping with this Pen’s relatively expensive price tag. The problem is that this Amazing Luxury Gift Box highlighted how BASIC the so-called Luxury Gift Box was that came with this more expensive Townsend Quartz Blue Lacquer Pen. Perhaps Pictures of the Gift Box that the Pen's include should be shown as part of Amazon’s selling protocol. Had I not purchased the 2nd Pen, I would have been none the wiser, concerning the Huge difference in Gift Box Quality for the same Pen Range. The saving grace is that I can display both my Townsend Pens in the proper Luxury Gift Box and they look Fantastic side by side.If I have one slight issue, Gift Box aside, it would be the Cap-End appointments not being perfectly flush with the Cap body and are somewhat sharp/jagged. I believe this would be unlikely to cause me any injuries and may well smooth out with usage. That said it does somewhat let down the otherwise High-Quality finish of both my pens.All in All, I think both pens are wonderful and really glad I have purchased them from Amazon, for a competitive price. This Quartz Blue Lacquer pen really does look stunning when used in bright Sunlight.

Delivery was very prompt, even before the stated delivery date. The item (Medalist/23CT) itself is really a piece of mastery. The pen looks millions of times nicer in person. It looks so posh and the feel of it is incredible. No wonder US presidents are keen on its use. Truly proud to have purchased it.

Bought to replace a "lost" pen. Feels like an old friend is back in my hand, balanced and free flowing onto the page. Great workmanship with an eye for detail and quality feel always brings me back to Cross. Two of this model now, ball point and fountain pen. A brand gifted to me all those years ago by my grandmother, and still adding to the collection.The only downside was the unexpected customs charge to complete delivery..

Really high quality pen, especially for the price c.£30

I love this pen. The weight is just right, the quality rotation mechanism to reveal the cartridge feels like it would work forever, and the ink refits themselves are great. The one that came supplied never seems to last too long for some reason, I don't know if they come with only half-filled refills, but replacements are easy to come by. The colour of the pen is bright and easy to maintain - it doesn't seem to scuff easily. The only reason I have had three is that I lost my first and broke my second in a car accident.This pen is, in short, one of the best CROSS pens I have ever owned. I do a lot of writing, and my colleagues are always commenting on the look and feel of my pen. A great purchase.

Bought has a Christmas present for my wife. She really enjoys using it but always puts it back into the presentation box. It would have been nice to have had a soft pen sleeve to put it in. Pen for life.

Penna per chi, come me, ama le penne piuttosto pesanti.Il refill è quello classico Cross a vite (8513).Il colore è meno acceso di come appare il foto, più simile ad un bordeaux metallizzato.Bellissimo strumento di scrittura, purtroppo in Italia le Cross non sono molto diffuse.

I purchase as a 20th wedding anniversary gift for my husband. It is prettier than I expected and a nice weight without being too heavy. My husband really likes nice pens, owns a couple of Mont Blancs and he loves this pen!
