Out of the box, very nice skillets. The surface is noticeably rough, which gave initial pause. Factory curing is not apparent. Still, I oiled and cured these skillets over a low heat for a few hours. Then I just cured as I cooked. They performed well and as cast iron skillets ought to. Very old style -- the sides are at a sharp angle to the bottom, rather than gently curved. This doesn't bother me, but it is worth noting if you like the shape of omelet pans better. The surface is still rough after some use, but it doesn't seem to impact anything. They're a good deal and I would recommend them.

I've always used cast iron cookware, been in the family for years. I did not treat mine like I should have but needless to say they lasted a very long time before they started bleeding/rusting. They are good for fried foods and corn bread. The new ones today doesn't appear be the quality I had (so you know it's been a long time) but if you keep them oiled after each use or other use (depending on how often you use them) they will be good to you. I don't fry much anymore but for those that do this is a heads up.

This is my first cast iron skillet set. I tried making breakfast right off the bat. I dont know if mine are supposed to be pre-seasoned or not but i did notice my bacon sticking to the pan. Overall, I thought this was okay. The pans have a nice weight to them but i did go ahead and make sure to oil the pan really well before cooking the next item and had no problems with the pan. I want to try out the others in the set and see how they do. I am giving a four because I am not sure about the pre-seasoning process but otherwise a very good pan

Only used once so far so I wont rate on durability but my fried pork chops were amazing. It said it was seasoned and it was. Cleaned very easily. Great price. I love it.

Ordered these super excited to have additional cast iron cook ware. Just opened these. The two larger pans are broken. One, the handle is completely broken. The large pan actually broke. Including the handle in several pieces. Demonstrated in the photo.

The skillets are great sizes and light weight for cast iron. My mother who’s 70 had to get rid of the one she used to have because it was too heavy and dangerous for her to use. I gave her the medium size from this pack and she’s very happy. We havnt seasoned or used them yet (hence 3 stars on durability - how would we know 5 days after getting them?) but they seem durable.

The pans come pre seasoned but everything was sticking to them. I washed them and seasoned them myself to little improvement. I've seaoned them several more times useing Crisco, bacon fat, olive oil, vegetable oil, hemp oil, and peanut oil. They improved but stuff still sticks to them. I will most likely get rid of them and buy a better set.

Got this set for Christmas and i absolutely love them. I use the large one for searing and roasting, the medium and small ones are perfect for frying eggs in or baking in! They came pre seasoned so clean up has been a breeze. A little lighter than caste iron I've had before which my wrists appreciate.
