High Quality and My Dog Loves It
Someone criticized this product as being expensive and so healthy it needs a prescription. That’s not the reason it needs a prescription. Prescription diets ensure things are added or removed and nutrition is balanced for certain conditions and diseases. In this case, it has very low fat to help dogs with liver and gallbladder conditions. My 18-year-old chihuahua has chronic pancreatitis that flares up whenever there is too much fat in his diet. He’s been on canned prescription diets for the last couple years but he gets finicky with those and doesn’t love them. This prescription diet from JustFoodForDogs is something he loves. Even at his age, he runs to the kitchen at meal times now waiting to be fed. I love seeing him so enthusiastic about his meals. He’s had no flare ups since changing to this food. He clearly loves the taste and the smell is pleasant, unlike some of the canned foods I had been using. This is a high quality product, and very much looks like human food. I had to tell my husband not to eat it. I’m very grateful for it and highly recommend it to other pet parents caring for a dog that has chronic liver issues.

Prescription Dog Food?
There is simply no such thing as food that is *so* healthful as to only be available by prescription. This goes for all food products whether consumed by animals or humans. Could you imagine the grocery store requiring a prescription before they could sell brocoli?
