I approve, and im picky
Purchased this to build radiator / heater-core flush machine. Cast iron construction allows for the use of harsh chemicals. It is fairly quiet, electric motor is fan cooled, and worked for me with no issues. Inly thing i might change next time i do a flush is to add a speed control since is does pump quite fast for my application. The toggle switch on back is nice, makes controlling the unit easy, and the switch is protected from water intrusion. Unit has enough power to suck up water, coolant, and thicker viscosity cleaning fluid from 3’ from under unit and push through 10’ 7/8” hose with no issues. I recommend to order brass GHT adaptors, as the plastic ones strip easily

Strong little pump
Love this pump, saved my butt when I had to drain the swimming pool, main submersible pump stopped working when the water got too low but this little pump was still working down to about 2 inches of water. Pump is not quiet and not supposed to be, around 80 decibel, one tip, put a short section of transparent garden hose so you can see if it’s working.

Primer cap failed - huge mess
Cautionary Tale: Beware of This Pump!I had high hopes for the VEVOR Cast Iron Water Transfer Pump. Initially, it worked great, handling a large volume of water efficiently. However, my experience quickly turned into a nightmare.Failure and DamageAfter running the pump for about 30 minutes, I returned to find that the primer cap had blown apart, shooting water straight up into the insulation in the crawlspace of my house. This turned a minor issue into a major disaster, resulting in an insurance claim and significant damage.Customer Service WoesWhen I contacted Amazon about the issue, they directed me to VEVOR. Despite multiple attempts to reach VEVOR for assistance, I received no response. The lack of support and accountability from VEVOR was extremely disappointing.Costly ConsequencesIn the end, I am out almost $5,000 due to the damage, all because I tried to save a hundred bucks on a pump. The risk and hassle are simply not worth it.ConclusionThis pump is not worth the risk. The hardware failed catastrophically, and the customer service was non-existent. I strongly advise against purchasing this product. Save yourself the potential headache and financial loss.

Haven't used it yet
I bought the transfer pump to fill the 275 gallon tote from the natural spring on our place to settle the dust from the one lane private drive we live on. We're the residents in the little neighborhood whose family has been on this piece of land since the land grant in 1878 that contains Pres. Grant's signature. Some new neighbors that built a house in the back where the driveway ends, and nobody knows them. They fly in and out of here like they're headed to a fire, day and night. The dust has gotten unbearable. We got a 275 gallon tote at the Little Debbie thrift store for practically nothing, cleaned the soy lecithin out that it had contained, constructed an irrigation rig with 2" PVC and a couple of fittings. That pump is rated for high enough flow it will fill the tote in less that 12 minutes. It will be powered by the generator. Cheaper than the additional water on our bill.

Flawless so far
Works great for us. I use it to pump water from a 60 gallon bladder in the back of the truck to the travel trailer when dry camping.
