Canon Battery Pack BP-975 for XF305, XF300, XF205, XF200, XF105, XF100 Professional Camcorder

I have not personally experience the battery life that some have claimed, but it does seem pretty good. I got 4-5 hours, and ran it down; charged back and got right at about the same battery life – a couple hours more than the standard/smaller batter of this type.However, i did not experience anywhere near 8 hours as some have stated, and I used it twice now on long full day shoots (but had to switch to back ups after a time)

After a little over a year of use the battery went bad. Conveniently after it’s warranty ended.

This is a great battery last long for what I need. If you don't have one you should get one.

I bought this for use with my Canon XF100 camcorder. The battery that comes with it gives about 3 hours of recording time - but this one gives over 8 hours. I had it in for a week of regular sporadic shooting and barely even noted a decrease in charge. It also seems to retain charge better than many other camera batteries I've used over the years.One nice feature with this series of batteries is that you can press a button on the battery itself to see how much charge it's still got. In the past I can't say how many times I've gone out shooting, packed a couple batteries, only to find when I got to where I was going that both were out of juice. This way at least, I can check it quickly without turning on the camera, and I know when I'm ready to go.
