Like brand new!
Quick shipping and excellent custom packaging. The T480 arrived with optional high capacity secondary battery. Battery charger looked and packed like new - 65W. Bright high definition screen. Finger print security is great along with the i7 4-core, 8 thread quickness. All for an incredible price.

Great price to quality
I paid $300 for a used T480. Any scuff on the body can be removed with a magic eraser. Computer runs fine, and came with a charging cable. The body of the computer was mostly dust free. There was a thick layer of dust on the fans, so clean the insides asap. The charger that the computer came with was particularly dirty. Runs great, all the same

BEWARE!! Avoid this seller!
Bought a refurbished Lenovo Thinkpad T480 from this seller in February 2024 and it worked fine initially. After the short warranty period, it crashed. I took it to a computer repair shop and it is toast. $300 into the refurb laptop and $100 into the repair. I left a message with the seller asking for some help. They have not returned my call. BEWARE!

Was hoping for the best rolling the dice, turned out better than expected
The model I received wound up including all of the options (smart card reader, fingerprint reader, Nvidia MX150 option, ... your mileage may vary..). The internal battery health was not stellar (~ 50%) but the external is around 90% health (via Lenovo Vantage tests). Replacement parts including batteries are still available. The original dock is still available (on my list...) The inside was maintained and dust free. I could tell it had been opened up before (and the only 'ding' was the cmos battery is a bit loosely secured) but I couldn't be happier. This suggests to me that in my case at least the laptop had been inspected and maintained over its life. Crucial's compatible 16GB RAM card to double the RAM (from the 16GB model ordered) is a bit sparse on Amzn but can be found from their vendor source (on my list also...). Use care not to buy a 2x8GB kit if you have the 16GB model. It comes with a single 16GB card and only has one additional slot..I found a KingSpec 512GB M.2 NVMe SSD, 2242 PCIe Gen3x2 Internal Solid State Drive via Amazon and installed it in the available WWAN storage only port - works like a charm (doubling my storage for ~$60 more.. use care to select NVMe, 2242 type cards and do your homework - SATA's won't work and some cards with chips on both sides of the card won't fit - Google and youtube helped me avoid these issues). If you opt to dual boot as I did (Manjaro on the new storage) ensure not to encrypt the Windows 10 disk until after, or else make sure you backed up that recovery key - you'll need it (my disk order swapped on the Windows 10 side after installing Manjaro so I had to re-enter the recovery key).Others have said it, but DO NOT wait to check and update the Thunderbolt firmware - serious issues (no longer able to charge the laptop) if you wait too long. Lenovo Vantage app is a must-have, install it from the Microsoft app store (it acts like you have to sign in to the M$FT store to install it, but you don't really :-) ). The Lenovo Vantage utility wants to live run in the background but doesn't 'need' to to use the app for tests and BISO/drivers/firmware updates. But I run it at start - the battery indicator is nice.Windows 10 - the laptop reports (with the i7-8650U model at least) it is eligible for Windows 11 upgrade, but I stuck with 10 for now. WSL and Hyper-V (VM support) with some optional features added from Settings (plus a small tweak in the BIOS to support VMs... yeah I know dual boot, plus WSL and Linux VM on the Windows side, but I like options :-) all work well. One little peeve? there's a wee bit of space in the front (a small gap) where the bottom doesn't completely make contact with the upper part (others have reported it. IF you know what you're doing, its work taking the bottom off at least once (search Youtube for helpful demonstrations on how to safely do so - don't forget to go into the BIOS and temporarily disable the internal battery...) if ONLY to make sure the internal battery isn't bulging. In my case at least, I checked and the small gap isn't caused by the battery (the battery is fine it just has had its share of re-charges..). The Lenvovo Vantage app can ALSO help with this - you can set the battery(s) to cap their total charge at less than 100% (I set the external to charge only to 90%, and the not as healthy internal one to max out at 80%, and yes the change on the Windows 10 side apples to the Linux install also - changes applied to the hardware not just in the OS...)

No internal battery.
No internal battery. I expected to need to buy the 72wH battery because I got this laptop for its battery life and ability to change out the external battery, but I did not expect to run a battery test and find that it failed and upon inspection found there wasn't even an internal battery included. This device was in otherwise good condition but man what a letdown. The post does only say "long lasting battery" and "excellent condition" so I guess I couldn't expect a stock part to come installed with a refurbished product.Amazon response - We cannot replace parts you can request a refund or a replacement. Doesn't even get me in contact with the seller to see what their response might be about this so those are your options.Edit: changed the rating, it's a quality product but I'm still salty about the batteries but that is partly my fault, I should've known the lack of specificity would bite me.

GREAT SELLER, GREAT LAPTOP
Recommend if you want to find a responsible seller for a refurbished. While i was hoping for touch screen I got the non touch screen and otherwise near perfect laptop. Not a blemish or wear and tear. The battery has about 50% wear but that is expected. Since it has two batteries, total cost is about 100 for both and pretty easy. The seller is great and helped with any questions. I recommend this seller as works to make things right even if mistake was mine.I will buy another soon.

Good quality for price
Works pretty well overall, the trackpad is a little wonky but otherwise does the job. Great value for the price.
