Puly Caff Grinder Cleaning Crystals (10 x 15 g)

I've had my Melitta Batista TS for around 18mth bought from Melitta, it now at over 2800 cups made. Regular cleaning sing this product along with others (check my other reviews) my Bean to cup system is still going strong.

The clean was probably not as good as dismantling the grinding cones and taking a brass wire brush to them. Tricky to get the cones back to their previous setting too. But a much simpler prceedure. Some brands of roast coffee beans seem to have much more oil in them than others, and if using these, cleaning should be done more often..

I purchased this to clean my new Burr type grounder. I find that the powdered nature of this product means that it is not in contact with the Burrs long enough to effectively clean them. The powder just passes through, almost instantly. After inspecting the grinder after, I noticed that there was still some coffee left in the grinder. So one sachet of this is not enough for my machine, which is not special by any means. So if I have to use 2 sachets at a time, it makes this option way too expensive when taking in to account that the directions tell you to use it once per week. Thats a lot of money over the course of a year, or lifetime, depending how you look at it.Would not recommend this product... It's just way too expensive, especially as you need to use 2 sachets at a time, and one box of 10 only gives 5 weeks of cleaning!!!

I only used this because my mahlkonig grinder suddenly said “clean!” on the display.Grind quality and flavour improved after 1 use.Will be a regular thing from now on.

Used 2 packets to get them clean but worked a treat
