Grandkids, ages 3 and 5, loved them.
Batteries are required in both the remote control and the cars themselves. Remote controls the cars for quite a distance. My only drawback is that one of the two stunt cars required batteries after about 30 minutes of use. My grandkids, ages 9 and 7, loved them, but be prepared to supply lots of batteries for these fast little cars.
