Easy and cool mod
I had the lowest level of porta pros without the mic or detachable cable. I like using them at work but I need a mic. I didn't want to buy a 2nd set of porta pros, so I got this mod and a cable. One thing I don't see brought up a bunch is what the polarity of the driver leads are. I went with red on the right on both drivers and they still sound great. I suck at soldering and have the cheapest soldering gun I could find and it went fine.

Complete kit, nice materials
Modded a set of Portapros. Checked a video on YouTube to see if there is any issue areas. Be careful when installing the connectors. You must test fit before adjusting the plastic. If you over do it, it will be a pita to repair! Get a mini glue gun to finish the job. Work great. Just take your time, use a fine tip soldering iron and take care.Buy it.
