Nice but . . .
Works for the purpose of lowering amp load at startup, however running watts are up 70-80 watts.Somewhat convoluted to install, directions are mostly ok but some steps are ambiguous.Overall, makes it easier on the generator to kick it on.

Don’t waste your time
I would not recommend the seller “Dometic Authorized Retailer”. The first time they sent me my order it was for the wrong air conditioner. I went through the process for an Amazon refund and mysteriously a second one showed up and it also was for the wrong air conditioner. Before I realized it was for the wrong air conditioner I did try to install the first one and found the directions Terrible. It looks great if you’re reading the PDF online, you start thinking this isn’t too bad I can do this. But then you get up there and the more you look at it the more the directions don’t make sense to you. In all fairness it could’ve been because I had the wrong model . I simultaneously purchased a slow start RV product and the directions were immediately understood and within five minutes I knew exactly what needed to be done and in 45 minutes I had their product installed and working.

Don’t expect any help from Dometic
I ordered the penguin unit and the brisk unit showed up. I called support to try to find out the difference as I was in a pinch. They could not answer basic questions like “what comes in the box” every question was followed up with, we can’t answer that cause we can’t assume risk. There is no risk with explaining what comes with a unit. Really disappointing. The support staff should be better trained. I spoke with an airstream dealer and they provided me with better information. I feel everyone feels the same. Cause even when you get to the technician support they create unnecessary roadblock with the line of questioning which results with we can not support you due to risk. Maybe this is the reason airstream has moved away from Dometic on newer models. One can only assume.
