Q: can you wax over them or should you not

This particular decal no because it is a NON-LAMINATED decal. We do offer this decal in LAMINATED and that is perfectly ok. We do say that it be only hand waxed and not using a buffer machine as that will damage any decal. Thank you for your inquiry! Regards.

Q: What is the width of the stripe?

If you are using these to replace the factory stripes they are the correct width. I used these to replace my factory stripes due to cracking, even the Mini dealership wouldn't recommend their stripes as a replacement. So far I am very pleased with these. Hope that helps.

Thank you again for your inquiry. These particular decals are NOT laminated therefore do not have a glossy finish. You will notice that the price difference is $10.00 less as this is reflected in the NON laminated version, however we do offer this exact decal in the laminated version if you prefer this color scheme. You will get a longer life out of a laminated decal versus the non-laminated decals, it just depends on how long you will be keeping your vehicle. These decals will also fit your convertible as well.
