Added Instruction
Did not work from the written instructions. Had to hold down the "Fn" key while toggling thef12 key.

Did not work, do not buy
I bought this product to help me reset the password on my laptop. The laptop meets the specifications in the product description but it did not work. I kept getting a message that this is not a password reset USB. I am very disappointed in this product. Save your money and buy something else.

Worked perfectly, better than expected.
I got a computer in a storage auction that had a password so I couldn't access it and no software to nuke and pave it to reset. I also wanted to see if there was any other useable software, games, or music on the computer I could use. I found this product and with the simple instructions.. was able to boot the computer and reset ALL the passwords on the computer. This did not give access to passwords that linked from the computer to other sites, etc. but this was just what I needed to get access to everything ON the computer. Thank you!

Easy for Lenovo
Worked in 5 minutes. We were nervous. But we did it. Saved us $$. Love this product for Lenovo Desktop.

Do not purchase - It Didn't work; also, no contact info provided for questions
I have a Dell computer that I used at my previous job. I was able to bring it home but I cannot remember my password. I bought the Password Reset USB program to enable me to get into it . The USB drive loaded up fine and I was able to change the password.... but from there, nothing worked. The new password did not work to unlock my computer. I was unable to go back in and redo the password again. I am still locked out of my computer.Also, their directions state that if you have problems, you can contact them by email. They do not have their email address anywhere on the document, receipt or USB package.

Works great IF you can boot from usb
Had to get into an old computer that nobody remembered the password for. This worked great! Just as advertisedThen somebody heard I could get in without password and they gave me an old Dell to get in as well. That’s where things got weird. It’s a windows XP machine but it won’t boot from USB. some did and some didn’t boot from usb during that era. I have one that didn’t. I’m currently looking into alternatives to do so (I read about PLOP but haven’t tried it yet)So when your machine boots from USB this is a great product! I wish they would ship a USB and a cd so It would work in all situations.

The USB did not do the job. I would love to return it.Advise everyone to go to Best Buy-Geek Squad first.Rated 0000
