It holds about 1.2 grams of powdered, whatever. The spoon is a rather large scoop if you're not careful, depending on how tolerance you have for sweetener in your coffee. The chain is rather miserable, thus only four stars. Put the scoop and the vial on the keyring without the chain involved, and it fits conveniently in a pocket. Very fashionable accessory for group bathroom trips when you're out. Material will get trapped in the rather large lid that unscrews off. A valuable resource to tap out just when you thought you were out of spices for your stew.
