Will this brush head fit on the wood handle from the 1960 Marine Mate Soft brush?

NO it is designed for a shurhold handle.

Would this be good for my house outside wood porch with a protected clear coat, what is the best stiffness?

Brush is soft and would work fine for your deck. I use it for deck and to wash outside windows. They make some models that are stiffer, but this one will work fine for a deck.

Which one would be better to clean a trex (composite) deck? the "extra soft" or the "soft" one? thanks in advance everyone
