Built tough, stylish and a fantastic sunglass for driving
I've had some expensive/brand-name sunglasses in the past in both gray and amber tinted lenses. The amber lens tends to be my favorite and really helps make hazy bright, overcast or rainy weather driving much easier for visibility since it improves contrast for those types of conditions. Many of the mid-range priced sunglasses I've owner had lightweight and so-so durability frames. Either the lens would scratch first in the worst place (right where you look straight ahead through the lens) or the frame would finally fatigue and break.I saw these glasses and since they were safety glasses w/ extra hardened lenses, amber in color and polarized as well, they looked like they were what I was searching for in "driving" sunglasses.WOW!....delighted with the fit (rubberized and feel light and perfectly contoured against the face for extended hours of use), the amber lenses are a perfect range of density; not too dark nor too light. They seem perfect for all-around use, even during sunny and bright days as well. For overcast and darker days, they were a blessing and worked superbly on a few long trips. They clearly do improve contrast where needed on those gray/overcast type days. For bright sun, they work well too. Polarization is excellent. They remove all glare from road, water and other reflective surfaces. The frames of these sunglasses seem built quite sturdy and do not look anything like a "safety glass" typically would. They are stylish, hold to the face well while providing plenty of grip so they do not move around on the nose yet offer no tight feeling that might give your a headache from too much tightness on/near the temples area if worn too long. You can wear these for hours and not have any discomfort at all.I was so delighted with my first pair that I ordered a second pair today just before posting this review.Regarding specifically driving, these really are "safety" glasses and will provide safer driving on the road.I don't dare use them as safety glasses since they will serve another purpose completely and remain in my car at all times. I'll pull out my other clunky old pair of safety-glasses when I just need eye protection.Highly recommended. Very satisfied with this purchase.

2nd pair
Liked the 1st pair so much we bought a 2nd pair. These don't have the same brown tone lenses as the last pair. They seem a bit purple and aren't as effective.

From a very satisfied customer...
Solid glasses. Arrived just as shown with no surprises. Have not observed any distortion due to unequal polarization angles or whatever that some reviewers have criticized in the past. I bought a few different models from Edge because I'm out in the field quite a bit under a variety of circumstances, at all hours day or night. One thing I really like about the Kazbek style frame is that the bottom strip along the temple/ear part of the frame is made of a durable, flexible rubber. I've worn all kinds of cheapo safety glasses that irritate the tops of my ears after hours of wearing them under a hat or hardhat, so the flexible rubber is a nice touch. Size-wise, all of the Edge models I purchased fit like a glove. By no means do I have a lean face, so I'd say the regular size should fit about 90% of people. If you have trouble with fitting most sunglasses found in gas stations, then you may be in that 10% or so. Check out their website, the dimensions are clearly shown so you can determine whether you need the XL or not. The lenses do what they promise and each style is designed for various light conditions and activities. Again, check out their website to determine which type of lens/frame will work best for you. These glasses here have easily replaced my crummy, 7-year old pair of driving sunglasses that were from a much more expensive breed.

Edge Eyewear
Edge eyewear is world class. I also have Oakley and Wiley X sunglasses and they too are highest quality. They provide Rx options that Edge Eye Wear does not. All three companies provide models approved for Military use and highest standards for ballistic eye protection. All three brands make lenses meeting ANSI Z87 2003 standards that are not stamped on Oakley's (OSHA requirement for Tradesmen and Military personnel).I personally cannot see any difference in lens clarity and scratch resistance between all three companies. The price is what sets Edge apart from the others. e.g. Edge Kazbek frames with polarized lenses are average price of $30.00. Wiley X and Oakley with comparable frame models and polarized lenses are $120.00 and up.One con, there are no fitting rooms.Edge is based in Utah and is only sold locally through Grainger, with limited models in stock. Although all models can be ordered. All other distributors are on-line which makes it difficult to get the fit you want.Five stars for quality, design, and price.

Nice glare reduction
This glasses really helps to reduce glare specially while driving, when you are under a really bright sunlight it really reduces glare and also helps to have a better preception of depth. Other way it helps to reduce glar is during rain, have you seen how rain water drops splashes in your car or in the road produces something really likely to glare? Well, this glasses really helps to avoid this efect, to my perception this glases helps a lot to see "thru" the rain...So I would recommend to wear this glasses for driving during bright sunlight conditions, rain conditions either during day or night but not for night under clear sight conditions (in this particular case does not help you to improve your sight).I think these also have nice fit, enough for moving your head without worring for them to fall but not to tight to feel fatigue. Then, as I see, these are great sunglasses for driving or as safety glases for day!
