I ordered this as the case on my key was very worn, making the buttons temperamental and the key difficult to slide into the ignition. With the right tools, it was fairly easy to move the contents of the old key into the new fob and it works really well. Really pleased to have a new key for less than a tenner!

Review in Jan 2025: I originally bought this in 2021. Perfect size and fit. I just ordered another one because the rubber is breaking in some places through normal wear and tear. Highly recommended. IMPORTANT: there is a tiny black chip in the original key fob make sure you transfer this to the new key fob, otherwise your key will not work. It's easy to miss, so look carefully.

So, I picked up this replacement key shell for my Prius because the old one was falling apart, and honestly, I wasn’t expecting much. But it actually fits perfectly, and swapping everything over was pretty easy. The plastic feels decent—not quite like the original, but not cheap either. The buttons have a good click to them, which I appreciate. Only thing is, it doesn’t come with the logo, so if that bothers you, keep that in mind. Otherwise, it does the job without spending a fortune at the dealer.

Worked perfectly thanks. It was tricky to get my *original* fob open to extract the electronics but I watched a YouTube video which helped. I then easily opened this new fob and inserted the electronics.

Feels quite cheap and didn't really work fitting the electrical key components into the replacement holder. Quite disappointed. Its been sat on the side ever since

I watched a YouTube video on how to take apart my old Toyota Prius key fob and transfer the electronic motherboard and TRANSPONDER into the new Remote Key Shell. Worked flawlessly at the first try. DO replace the battery at the same time. Excellent repair for a 13 year old vehicles key fob - and all for under a tenner - and a dash of elbow grease.I simply slotted the KEY from the old damaged case into the new one - fits perfectly. Delighted with the result.

This is second key I've ordered the first was perfect. The second one was used and had scratches all over it like it had been on a key chain with sharp objects. I wasn't impressed they sent this out and didn't replace it.

This is a good quality replacement for the original keyfob that was suffering from peeling buttons, which is a pain when the fob slides into the dashboard.The swap of the old bits into the new was straight forward, but make sure you don't forget to swap over the transponder chip that is tightly fitted into the original Toyota fob - it looks like a black rectangle, with the corner cut off. You need to swap this as well as the lock/unlock PCB.The original Toyota keyfob appears to be welded or glued together, so you need to be quite harsh with it to get the guts out. This fib clips together and whilst the clips look a bit weak, they appear to work well enough - we'll see after a couple of months of duty.
