I've already broken three thermoses like this, but I keep buying them again and again.
It's hard to find an alternative with the same capacity. It's not very stable because of the three support points on the ball feet.Usually, after about a year, the flask cracks into tiny glass shards, and the manufacturer's offer to replace only the flask is not rational because some of the pieces are just dust. However, it reliably maintains the temperature of boiling water and conveniently dispenses water, so it has become an indispensable companion in my daily tea ceremonies at home.

Attractive Vacuum Jug
We bought this jug primarily because it matched what we required in terms of aesthetics (colour). It is attractive, it pours well and it performs well its basic function of keeping liquids hot for a suitable length of time. From a personal perspective we feel that it may be larger than we require - for two people - but that is just confirmation of what we expected from the description. It is perhaps expensive if all you want is a vacuum flask. On the other hand if you want a vacuum flask with a bit more style then this one may be for you. I can certainly recommend it unreservedly.

PERFECT
so impressed with this wonderful jug and it does what it says - the water stays as hot as if straight of the kettle. I made tea in it for friend and came out perfect

Excellent thermal jug
Bought this to reduce electricity costs in boiling the kettle whilst working from home. It holds around 3 standard size mugs. I make one jug at 8a.m. and have my final cup by 4pm and its always still HOT. Love the design, pours well and all round a great thermal jug.Edit: After a year of use the internal glass exploded when it was drying on the side. Absolutely gutted, will still maybe buy another as it truly held the temperature so well and I can't find another like it.

Pretty but poor design decisions?
Just received mine and it is already packed up for return. It is a lovely looking piece of kit but is, IMO, badly designed. Admittedly, I don't think the extremely poor packing helped, the thin cardboard box being narrower than the jug so it bulged slightly, but on opening it the jug rattled. Looking around it, saw the large screw on the bottom and unscrewed it so that I could remove the bottom outer half of the jug revealoing the glass vauum flask. I than saw that the 'spigot' where the glass vacuum inner is sealed during manufacture had broken off with the added bonus of getting a glass splinter in the finger, fun.I have other flasks with glass vacuum inners and those inners are far far more robust, i.e. thicker, than this one appears to be. So, with the mix of very poor packaging and poor glass, i.e. too thin, vacuum flask design I am not going to waste time waiting around for another likely broken replacement.Note: I also wasn't that impressed with the stability. For even on a perfectly smooth kitchen work top it was easy to rock it so that I can well see this all over the place ona less than even surfaces. Overall, nice looking item but a practical disappointment. I can't give it a zero but perhaps it deserves a 1 for the physical look of the piece.A friend just popped out and bought me a 1.2L stainless steel jug from Argos for a couple of quid more than this in their sale. Not nearly as pretty as this design but the glass inner is solid when compared to this flimsy one and is far more stable, having a wide flat bottom.

Keeps tea drinkable and really hot for four hours min.
After sustained dissatisfaction with a vacuum teapot the seal/pouring mechanism kep breaking, I discovered this impressive item. I take care to initially add warm water from the tap, then hot water from the tap, then, finally the chosen tea in a porous holder and finally boiling water from the kettle.I treat the vacuum teapot gently, after all one can see the delecate silver surface of the inner skin of the vacuume "globe" and I treat it with respect.I'm seriously thinking of purchasing at least a second one so that I have it if my cat knocks it to the floor and a smashing end - my cat is a bit of a "klutz", but this fine item is most impressive.
