MeindlMen's Bhutan MFS Hiking Boot, Brown, UK10

This is a superb boot and given the obvious quality of its design and construction, it represents good value for money. I watched a video which suggested that I should order the same size Bhutan to replace my Burma boots as the fit would be 'identical'. The Bhutan actually feels a bit smaller and tighter inside than the Burma when they were brand new. So, I wish I'd ordered half a size larger. Hopefully they will 'wear in' and become as comfortable as my Burma boots.

Got these shoes for our treck to outer cora of Mt Kailash @6k Meters. I can only say that these shoes were our best companions for all sort of tarraiance, snow, rail, rocks, climbing up the steep mountains or coming down.They are waterproof and would not let your feet and ankels be effected by an landscape.

Like others say these boots are comfy out of the box.Bought these boots 14 months ago never had a wet foot or blister.My gripe is the leather cracks easily and the rubber seal where sole joins leather has perished around the heel on both boots.This inevitably will lead to water ingress and separation of sole from boot pretty soon.These numbersare very expensive boots and I would have expected them to be more hard wearing.They have been used overlong walks but not over rough terrain.Very disappointed at value for money my last pair of boots a seventy quid pair of karrimors lasted five years.

They are great boots. However they are not built to last. I’m now on my 6th pair in 8 years. The glue is not long-lasting and the soles fall off after walking about 5,000Km. I’ve had to replace them several times the day before a multi-day expedition. You have to really look after the leather as it can crack easily if you dry them too quickly. Still 5 stars as I’ve never had a blister.

The media could not be loaded. I work in the TV industry and have to spend hours in the cold and wet plus I have a dog that needs walking twice a day. So I treated myself to a premium pair of Meindl boots and paid £270 for these to hopefully guarantee warm, comfortable and dry feet. The packaging screamed out how good these boots were and for the most part they are. My feet are dry even in the wettest of weather. Plus they are comfortable. They are heavy but these type of boots are. HOWEVER I've had them for less than 4 months and the sole has worn down terribly. I emailed Meindl and they patronised me by saying they are built like that but when I showed them the photos they EVENTUALLY said "it's your gait, you don't walk properly" which I thought was a nice comment. However none of my other boots, shoes trainers support this slanderous excuse. In fact the Salomon boots which were half the price have lasted for over 10years and the sole is nothing like these pathetic Meindl. Perhaps its just a bad pair I hear you say but before these Meindl I had to return my first pair of Meindl Kansas boots because they leaked after a week because of a design floor around the toe. How they get to charge such a high price for these god only knows. My advice is stay away. The boots are rubbish and so is the customer care.

These boots fit me perfectly and were comfortable straight out the box very good quality just as good as my lowas

Gift for my son who is an outdoor activities instructor. He is very happy with them.

i have ordered these boots before, they are excellent, but the last pair ordered were scuffed and looked as if they had been worn, the box was completely destroyed, can't imagine why the packer would send them out!!! I sent them back, the money returned. I was a bit dubious about ordering again but I went ahead, the boots came in the condition one would expect if new, they are excellent boots, I buy these boots for a friend who does not have internet banking, he was very pleased with them, the boots are very well made, strong, and waterproof for heavy rainfall and deep puddles.
