This helmet is great . love the Captain american theme . In the past i bought three different Daytona helmets Red ,Silver, and White and the qualty all have been the same .They dont wind whistle in your ears. They fit tight and dont rattle on you head. You dont look like a space alien with a bubble on your head. The Datona helmet is my pick for comfort and longevity. Many miles loged in side this helmet. Try it out

Love the Peter Fonda style! Followed the Daytona size chart and got a perfect fit. I don't ride, but am an old guy who still engages in heavy work. Needed the ultimate protection to avoid head injuries, and now I've got it. Way better than a hard hat.Plus, lots of compliments from the neighborhood kids!

Another rater said that there is a foam pad at the back of it that is oversized and causes him discomfort, even headaches, and that it was too snug. I did notice that it takes some getting used to, at least for me, because I generally wore a 1/2 helmet. The helmet is lightweight and fits my big head pretty well, if very slightly snug..What I like most about it is the style. Some remember Peter Fonda wearing one like this in "Easy Rider", but even my friends who don't normally wear helmets (a fashion statement on their part), or have never seen the movie, have complimented the style. I have also received lots of compliments from folks who don't ride, which tells me that they will notice a rider wearing one. Being seen and noticed by people in cars is ALWAYS a good thing.I can't give it five stars, however, as it can be improved. A DOT rating is fine, but perhaps with only a small increase in cost, it could be made to Snell standards. The buckle has no tie back for the excess strap, it would have to be cut to keep it from slapping you in the face in the wind. I fixed that with an elastic band. The aforementioned padding pushes the helmet down on my head a little, meaning that the oversized visor blocks your upper view, causing you to have to physically tilt your head to see traffic signals, instead of simply glancing up.

I was skeptical about this helmet based on another review about it being too tight and uncomfortable however this helmet was perfect. I originally saw this of course in easy rider so I needed to have it and this is the closest you're going to get. There are the right amount of stars and they are the most similar shape to the one used by Peter Fonda. One thing not posted in the description is that it comes with an o.k. mesh head wrap and a nice tech fabric carrying bag with the Daytona logo on it which I really like. There is a leather strap on the back that comes in handy if you wear strapped eye protection. The visor easily detaches but becomes very sturdy when you clip it on. There is also enough room for your ears too but also quiets it just enough so you wont need plugs but can still hear the bike.The original picture doesn't show it very well but it's shiny not the sort of matte look I expected but it just makes it look that much more authentic.Another question you may be asking yourself is will you look awesome wearing this helmet. Yes.

Usually use full face, but had to have for the price. Should have came with smoked visor.

got this captain america helmet to wear while riding my vintage mini bikes around my neighborhood and it looks GREAT! i get alot of thumbs up and smiles from from neighbors and passing byers. very comfy and well made dot approved and does not look like a space helmet. size chart was spot on. shipping was on time and packaging was in perfect condition. would buy again but i dont think i will ever need too. very happy with my purchase!
